  1. Finally got all of my stuff back from New Orleans. This is my baby. Barry Kitson is such an amazing artist. It was crazy watching the man work.
  2. I've got a basic idea, but I'm open for suggestions. Pictures of the area: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjynUFDE I basically have a general idea of how I'm going to lay everything out. I'm still open for suggestions. First and foremost: Before any books hit the walls or shelves, all the florescent lighting will be replaced by LEDs. The main body of furniture will be of the BESTÅ; line from IKEA. I'll also be using RIBBA Picture Ledges (idea stolen from the "Got a Comic Room???..." thread). First trip to IKEA will probably happen this Sunday. More pictures to follow! To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.
  3. Now that the new carpet has been installed in the basement, it's time to set up the Comic "Room" Greetings! And welcome to my first in a series of Journal entries chronicling my adventure setting my basement up into a comic room. I've got more room than I really know what to do with, and not nearly enough comics and stuff to fill it out. Luckily, I do have other nerdy things to help fill out the space. I'd like to also take this opportunity to thank everyone that has participated in the "Got a comic room??? Showcase it here!" thread. I've stolen quite a few amazing ideas from you guys. Pictures of the space will be posted in the next couple days. Thanks for coming along for the ride! Note: Sorry for the re-posting; I've been having issue with the Journal posting to Forum functionality. To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.
  4. Getting stuff in from Baltimore Comic Con: Still waiting for my Walt Simonson books, plus my ASM 42 >.<
