  1. When I had my tonsils out my dad brought a few comics to the hospital for me. Though I was a Superman/Batman/Flash kinda kid, I got stuck with such as Classics Illustrated (Emperor's New Clothes), Tomahawk <>, etc., but one new one was a winner: Turok. And it was a #35. Still got it. Not high grade though.
  2. As your younger brother (OO collection from 1962-1968), there are a bunch of books I once had and would be happy to have again, as well as books I saw on the rack/spinner but did not buy, and those I saw advertised in my comics that I could just imagine what they contained. Over the years I have added a few keys and back issues in some well-loved titles. I feel pretty lucky to have retained most of what I had. Good books. Good memories.
  3. Has anyone posted here that letter to the editor--by Rogofsky I think it was--in the mid-60s where he talks about his Golden Age collecting and how he is so careful with his purchases, bagging and stacking them? If not, I can dig it out and clarify the author.
  4. I'm happy to join the club with my very modest copy. I've had it for 20 years and just may keep it for 20 more. Sun-faded (I think it may have been displayed in a window at some time), I wish it had more eye appeal but I got it for a song then, from the coin shop with a few comics on the wall.
