  1. I'm not in the club and rather fed up with that status. Awesome book.
  2. Let's face it, most in demand GA covers feature similar scenarios, especially when they're drawn by Alex Schomburg (but by no means only him). The difference being that Suspense 3 was first, although certain pulp covers would've been an influence. All that's required apart from a damsel in a flimsy dress in bondage in a pit of some kind (or a glass tube) being rescued in the nick of time by the hero from snakes, fire, swords, axes, hypodermic needles (usually wielded by mad scientists or dwarfs) etc. is the presence of hooded Nazis or secret society goons and perhaps some other indistinct weirdos and the obligatory executioner added for local colour. Hitler with an oversized green head optional, of course. And voila, the poor man's Suspense 3. Don't get me wrong, I love all that stuff. I definitely want every single variation of that theme ever printed in the GA, including that icon book.
  3. I'm a bit old school in terms of this corner of the market, having collected pre-code horror for the last 15 years (you can thank an article in CBM for that). The odd pre-code book I deferred picking up back in the day that subsequently spiked to such a level has prevented me from completing sets, like COC 19. You never know which book will suddenly attain icon status...
  4. I remember buying a copy of that book in about the same shape from eBay a few years back for $45. The PCH market continues to explode. Some of the minor publishers that were overlooked for years are suddenly being noticed.
  5. Roger is an easy person to do business with and a credit to the boards, as everyone knows anyway! Packed and shipped two books extremely well, easy to negotiate with! Recommended!
  6. Awesome book, Billy. I had no idea you had stashed away the odd quality bit of PCH...
  7. Fighting Forces 54 - Gunner & Sarge - 5.0 cream to off white pages - $5 Army at War 106 - Sgt Rock - 5.0 off white pages - $10 Unusual Tales 19 - 5.0 off white pages - $5 Adventure Comics 276 - Superman Robot - 4.5/5.0 off white pages (minor spine roll) - $10 Take.
  8. Great copy with much better than average colors.
  9. Confused me as well. Ah well, great books in this thread.
  10. It was the first issue of the run that I got, for a very low price (I bought it 8-10 years ago). I then sold it, which I immediately regretted. Getting another copy in the same shape (FN+) to complete the run, never mind the copy you got, was indeed tougher than acquiring any of the others, including #2. Awesome book, needless to say.
