  1. Prices on lots, especially multi-book ones, have increased since Heritage moved the Sunday auctions to the signature format.
  2. Whats with the extended live bidding they just implemented - not liking it. They've adopted the signature auction format for the Sunday auctions.
  3. Wow, where was I the week that happened? It's taken me 13 years to (happily, finally) land my copy. ...that would have been around the time of the original roll out of the Crippen books.... many top notch books didn't get graded and ended up in the Sunday auctions. It was 11000 books IIRC......GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Those were the days when Sunday auctions got little attention, unlike now.
  4. Good ones. Great books, and classic examples - definitely from the sweet spot of the Atlas era. Looks like they're in decent shape too.
  5. What's a 9.0 cost if you don't mind me asking? A lot more than I wanted to pay But it is one of my favorite Cole covers. Excellent taste, sir.
  6. I think at the time I bought everything they ever did - all the coloured vinyl editions of their singles, etc. Still have them. Never sold any of my punk stuff. 95% of mine are gone. Sold them to buy comics. Now selling the comics to go traveling to gigs, so it all works out in the end. Fair enough.
  7. Classic Wolverton. He certainly liked his flying bat-creatures.

  9. Fantastic, and not a little bit nostalgic as well, for me in any case. Out of the 131 songs, I've only got about a dozen, but it's the ones I've overlooked that are of interest, even if some of them are absurdly lo-fi. I admit it's been a while since I dug out those old 45s. Time for me and my brother (who is still a massive Dalek I, Comsat Angels, early Simple Minds etc. fan) to check out those boxes. I'll never forget playing Honey Bane's Girl On The Run to some friends (who were somewhat bemused if not shocked by the song). God that song still hits hard, along with Rhoda's Old Boiler (any Two Tone fans remember that one?) I need to set some time aside to go through that link properly. Your brother sounds like a top bloke. I've only skimmed through the site - got a lot of reading to do. And yes, you and him would get along like a house on fire. You should invite him to a boardie night out. I'll try and drag him along to the next LSCC at the very least... It would be nice just to see you there. I'll be there for the Saturday until closing time.
  10. Back to normal..... It'll be a season - worse than the last one. So much for the team gelling.
  11. Evening, Andrew. Been out and therefore missed Spurs throwing yet another game away, this time in the Europa League.
