  1. +1. Rapidly becoming my favourite thread.
  2. And lest we forget (and this was noted in a Simpsons treehouse of horror episode) the one constant in most of these stories - ironic punishment. Right you are Andy! Are there many Precode references in those episodes? Groening is very much a comic fan, but my guess is that most of the tropes he's used for the treehouse stories would be via The Twilight Zone. The story I'm referencing is when he eats the "soul donut" given to him by Flanders and then is forced to spend the day in hell, ironic punishment division - "So you like donuts, do you? Have all the donuts in the world!!"
  3. Awesome stuff Andrew, and great taste in GA, sir! (thumbs u

  5. Great all-round service and accurate grading from Mike! Highest recommendation!
  6. Great buys on two obviously in-demand pre-code books. Both present well for the grade.
  7. ALL of the Congo Bill's, from Aug-Sept '54 to Aug-Sept '55 have Gerber scarcity indexes of 6 or 7. Your's is a 7 (21-50 known copies), while many pre-code books are at 4 (1,000-2,000 existing copies). So while it is indeed out of place in one aspect, it shines in another. Indeed - never seen a scan of that book before.
