  1. Yes, it's a pity the columns aren't in paper format. You're so last century. I was merely stating how thoroughly absorbent such columns would be. For toilet paper you mean?

  3. What? Finally the predicted response. Took your bleedin' time. Come on, that was quick for dial-up! **You are ignoring this Luddite**

  5. Who in their right mind posts here and expects anyone to read their posts?
  6. It's not spin. Allowing those who submit comics to participate in the forum are YOUR standards, not anyone elses. Whether you call it worthiness or something else is just semantics. What I said is not changed by the word you use to describe it.
  7. I know where you're coming from, but we all got to start somewhere. I submitted before I even posted here years ago. So it is hard for me to see others doing it that way. I appreciate your attempts at reasonable questions and posts, but this is far more complex than you could know. I am not trying to shut out Newbies. I am trying to get the trolls out of here. Using any means possible, because they have no direct benefit to this Forum. They should go somewhere else. many are bashing me, but at least I use the Services and use them often. CAL has more subs in...
  8. #29 has a great cover - what a copy. I call this thread the Envy Thread...
  9. Maconie has his moments but he's no Bennett...lmk if it's worth a read.
  10. John Buscema inked by Sinnott. The poster was originally for a 1975 Marvel Convention.
  11. It doesn't work if bidders are focusing on consecutive lots and end up having to oversee several lots at the same time due to the time extensions, which forces them to either overlook one of the lots or change their bidding strategy. I much prefer a quick end to an online auction as it allows you to regroup quickly if you lose. CC's auctions do not reflect real auctions which are over rapidly and do not overlap. Heritage's live bidding model is much better.
  12. I still have that poster from when I bought the book at the newsagents. Great stuff.
  13. The Action 1 holds a unique position in the hobby and despite the other two books almost gaining parity is still the holy grail.
  14. Here is my best Chicago purchase Billy boy. A GREAT little book!! Sorry Billy, here's a larger scan .... terrific pick-up jimmy; doesn't get much better, sir. One of my favorite covers of the run. Wish my copy was somewhere near that grade...
  15. Kazuo Ishiguro - Never Let Me Go. Very dark low-key sci-fi. Probably Ian McEwan next.
  16. Still unclear about all of that.
  17. Oh that's right you "happen to know some police officers who are close friends." Maybe you can tell them a bunch of "Nazi's" on a comics board are being mean to you Yep, stop posting pics of your mom after she gave birth to you. It's really not a nice image of her. Well, thanks for the positive contribution.
  18. I'm sure he's a sweetie in person.
