  1. for the whole class.. ah I luv being punny... You can't get much classier than two Quo vids in one post. Bloody awesome. Surely the guys from Spinal Tap must've been influenced by that Matchstick Men vid for this song. Not necessarily the song itself, just that the core members of Quo would quickly morph into that denim rock staple of the mid 1970s, sort of the way Tap moved into metal. Weird seeing them looking like that, especially the bassist.
  2. You've lowered yourself to our level. One must stoop to conquer.
  3. So how was it? Who's in the band these days? Been a long time since Wobble and Levene were backing Mr. Lydon.... No Wobble or Levene. Ex Damned guitarist Lu Edmonds, former drummer in The Pop Group and The Slits Bruce Smith and some other bloke I've never heard of. The band were great and Mr Lydon himself was pure magnetism. Videos will be posted soon. It's been over 30 years since he was in the Damned (on the not very good Music For Pleasure album) and Edmonds is still going. I remember seeing him in The Edge in 1979 at the Nashville in West Kensington. Waiting for the vids....
  4. This thread could use a little British class.

  6. Scarcer certainly, but still not that hard to find unless it's in 9.0 and above.
  7. Not just a wonderful human being and wonderful owner of the Monterey copy of Hulk Annual 1, but a quality purveyor of four-color pamphlets. Big plus on all fronts.
  8. We're all trapped here, and there is no escape.
  9. I hope they do dock them points but I'm sure they won't. The FA is spineless. This time they will. I'm sure Warnock will take the setback with his usual grace, though.
  10. Is the man. I'm a big fan... Saw him live late 70s at the old Sweetwater in Redondo Beach... Now that is impressive. I've read several of his books (admittedly a long time ago).... that book he did with Crumb was excellent (the perfect match? Surprised they didn't do more.)
  11. I wouldn't bother with this thread again. Promises. Were made for us....
  12. This is an amazing cover! I wish they had more like these in the Whiz Comics line. I love me some in transit GA,and this cover is terrific.Congrats Bill. "in transit GA" I love it. (thumbs u Ok, so here is an IN HAND new addition that I am super stoked about I love me some Larsons Quite surreal, that cover. Must find me a copy.
  13. Exactly. Hulk was as mad as a hornet by this time in the fight, and couldn't budge Superman. If Supes wanted he could have squashed Hulk like a little green bug By all means, let's use a random panel from a comic book taken out of context to support our argument that Superman is stronger. How absurd - using comic book panels to bolster comic book arguments that are ultimately up to comic book writers. Yep. Renders the whole argument moot. Yup. It's like using the bible to settle an arguement about Christianity. Silly. Analogy fail.
