  1. Kudos right back atcha!!! Thanks for the lightning payment and praise!!!
  2. That was certainly out of character for you, it has to be said. Can't believe that thread was well over a year ago......
  3. Major big - ups and thanks to Moondog100 for 3 very nice pre-code horror books, well packed, shipped, and as described - which is three out of three in my book. Excellent, friendly and fast customer service all round!! Tx, Gary!! Also worthy of praise is Chrisco, for kindly shipping the books to me - amusing note on the package, Chris!! Thanks again!!
  4. Is there a Forum Archivist in the house??
  5. Can't remember the specific thread (it may be one that FD just linked) but it was when JC went on the rant of a lifetime, ending it by calling his detractors (and everyone else) "black - hearted dwarfs" . I'm still laughing about that one. Just checked - it was indeed the Gypsies, Tramps And Thieves thread that got bumped (so I ended up participating in it technically, even though it started before I arrived here). Hysterical.
  6. Of course. Give me the same discounts that you want when you try to buy from blazingbob! Uh - oh. You've not been talking to his Bobness about my negotiating methods, have you? Anyway, Blazing has learnt how to deal with me. What I want and what I get are two different things, dammit.
  7. Well, at least that proves he reads some of my posts.......
  8. Better than your regular activity of exposing yourself. Don't worry greg, I still like yer!!!
  9. That last cover is particularly atmospheric - must find a copy......
  10. Never used this graemlin before, but it's the only applicable one.......
  11. Bah! Their ways are as dated as their obsession with those inane Royals. Viva La Revolucion!
  12. Come to think of it, it's an English thing, at least a little. In the U.S., if someone does well, he (or she) generally gets a pat on the back (an attitude which I like) - other people's success is not despised like it is in the U.K. Over here, we're a bit more circumspect and cagey for that reason..... Next time it happens I'll mention it on this very thread. And include links, natch....
  13. Now that is an unbelievable deal. Was this on ebay? Or your LCS? Amazing. I would like to see a scan of it. Not everyday you find a minor SA key in nice shape for 1/15th of guide. Hence the italics. Maybe he fleeced an old lady. Hard to imagine a comic shop letting that go so cheap or it flying under the radar on eBay...but stranger things have happened. or have they? To be fair, with the volume of items on ebay, there's always going to be something that slips through the net, although this seems to occur far less often these days. And if it does on the odd occasion happen, I tend to keep it to myself....... Still, that's the best deal I've heard of in a significant while.....

  16. Right back at ya. Now go pop the reserve on my HOF! The big hitters haven't turned up yet........that res'll pop.......
  17. Kudos to Shrunkenhead for an easy, seamless transaction!!
  18. Fascinating. There must've been widespread rumors of a possible Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor at that time, yet when it happened over 2 years later, U.S. intelligence was caught completely off - guard. Either that or the writer of that comic was a clairvoyant........
  19. Galactus could swat Hulk away like an insect..........
  20. Even though they relaxed the Code in '71, it still existed - hence no explicit gore (as if you didn't know). For stomach churning depictions of extreme violence and torture, help was at hand in that era, courtesy of Skywald, Stanley and Eerie. In some cases, these exploitation mags surpassed their pre-code forebears.....
