  1. Mine shipped today. Surprises good and bad. I agree the value tier is the red headed stepchild. No respect. Everything else goes before. The turnaround times fluctuate but I agree they want the fast track and modern money the most.

  3. 5/8/19 received 22 books $4,000 value VALUE submission Scheduled for Grading Was 55 days estimate when they received. When they update the turnaround times it should be for books that they receive after the update.
  4. 3.0/3.5 stains, holes, rips, creases knock it down to below VG. The book has some solid positives as well, but it is what it is. Congrats if you get it. Awesome book. I got mine on the boards a bunch of years back from Charlene!
  5. Got back in hobby in 2011. Bought a raw ASM 1 for just under 2k. It was an auction. Subbed it and still own it.

  7. Thanks for the info. I kinda remember a sales thread with many cook stamps a few years ago. Possibly you were the seller. Enjoy those books and the memory of the one that didn’t get away.
  8. 5.0 was my first best guess before seeing others come in just below that. The D.W. COOK stamp is confusing to me as I have seen that stamp before in sales threads on the boards before. I assumed that was some ones name, but maybe a store stamp? I read your thread about this collection and it seems like your seller had this book for a long time(fathers collection). Any color on D.W. COOK? Congrats on the mega buy!
  9. 6.0 - 3.0 for fade and staple etc...= 3.0 this is the type of book that the PGM thread is all about. Its different and helps us understand how the graders deal with unique issues. Cool book!
  10. https://www.midtowncomics.com/product/1836176 BIG BIG overstreet- last year was first year it came as non spiral format. Much bigger , but doesn't have the articles. I love it.
  11. Columbia should have claimed the book and let the seller know it was clearly under-priced. He could have stated that in a PM or with the . Geezus at that point could have owned the mistake or thanked Columbia for the heads up. I know this place as a community not a cutthroat war zone. Geezus made some fatal community mistakes and will never have the respect of the boards again. At this point the PL is meaningless as he is toast.
  12. The way you described the trim, it sounds like you can hide the trim with a rip. Please send a picture so you can actually get better opinions.
  13. I have books at the bank and CIS knows about them. They list my home , my bank and my storage facility and $ coverage broken down by location. Banks can get robbed, burn down or flood etc... I do agree with you on the why needed at bank , but my most valuable books are there and better safe than sorry I guess.
