  1. X-men 141 and 142 are all the rage since the new x-men movie was announced. I suspect prices will go higher closer to the movies debut. Movie- mania is what we called it on our forums. . (thumbs u
  2. One of the guys who works at one of my shops was telling me how awesome the SW 1 was and he loved the cover, etc. For his sake I hope he ordered 50 copies with his employee discount because he has been severely burned lately on some of his speculation attempts, even paying wholesale he's wound up selling them back to his boss for 50 cents a pop (and that's his boss being generous, because he'd pay 5 cents to anyone else). sadly, if he had just waited a little longer on some of them...I wound up buying a bunch of Guardians of the Galaxy 25s out of the 3 for $2 box about 12 months ago that he had speculated on when they came out and I guess had given up on. You need to believe in the comic you want to speculate on. I usually don't buy a book unless I enjoy it or can buy it at cover price and see its currently selling for more than $10 on eBay. Buying in bulk on hopes and dreams is unwise.
  3. I hate to say it but according to what's trending on my website Lyria Exchange For Modern Age Comics - it appears that every Superior Spider-Man variant is what people are desperately watching/buying. Amazing Spider-MAn #583 Obama Variant is fetching $30+ It might be safe now to consider this a key issue. Up there historically with Amazing Spider-Man v2 #36 Something that comes up on the radar from time to time and I see no one talking about is Multiple Warheads #1. This book is currently @ $41 & 2 bids with 10 hours to go. I have no knowledge of why this is so sought after. Star Wars #1 2013 got up to $30 & 13 bids with 2 minutes left to go. This just sort of came out of left field.
  4. It's hard to find books trending in the Copper Age that everyone doesn't already know about. Evil Ernie #1 @ $20 - People swear by this book. Dunno. Dark Knight Returns #1 @ $20 - the start of the grim and gritty Batman. X-Factor #24 @ 16 watchers - New favorite since the Uncanny X-force story line. Lyria Exchange Copper Age Section
  5. Swamp Thing #1 is getting a lot of bids but this is NOT a 9.2 Uncanny X-Men #142 FN @ $13.50 - Not bad, not bad. Defenders #13 @ $37 - maybe because it is such a high grade? Detective Comics #420 @ $28 - because its NM and its Neal. Superman vs Spider-Man @ $22 - a fan favorite. Lyria Exchange Most Watched Bronze Age Comics
  6. Single copies are starting to move at $35 to $40. Hell, I'll give you $35 shipped right now for one copy.
  7. Think of the 1993 version being the golden age comic equivalent of what they are putting out now. There will always be die hard fans of the 1993 stuff but the newer stuff is great and as long as the stories stay well written I'd image there will be some worth in owning the variants and what not.
  8. I was going to...but that is one book I always talk about being a X-Men, Iron Fist, and Test Variant junky wanting a nice copy. My thought is that it heated up due to Sabretooth not being dead and Iron Fist becoming more popular in the Marvel Universe. This is a key book to collect if you are into Iron Fist or X-Men. I also think people who collect John Byrne or Chris Claremont books would want this also. Well there you go. More than I knew about why it was so suddenly popular again. It was one of those books that I've always wanted in my collection but it seemed interest died off four or five years ago. Suddenly raw copies are selling for some serious money and the watch count for copies on eBay was pretty dang high and I couldn't figure out why.
  9. Iron Fist #14. I would of thought that would have generated some conversations.. We all thought that book has been dead for years.
  10. I've noticed that lately with DC Comics Presents 26 and Wolverine 1. I always thought DC Comics Presents #26 was a good comic to own, glad to see it's day has finally come. The Wolverine #1 Unlimited version baffles me because I thought there were hundreds of thousands of copies out there.
  11. I believe because TMNT 1 1st & 2nd printings have become to expensive the 3rd prints are starting to become very desirable.
  12. 4 pages back, on page 385 http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=260514&Number=6290823#Post6290823 AH-HA! Thanks for the link. I missed it. Been busy this last week and just didn't see the chatter.
  13. Current auction is at $10 with 5 bids and 1 day left.
  14. I'm seeing regular issues starting to hit the $25 - $30 range. eBay Completed listings for Revival #1 Surprised I don't see more chatter in the modern age section about that. We talk about Saga hitting $35+ but not Revival #1 hitting $30?
  15. Some books trending according to the Lyria Exchange The Sixth Gun #1 Peter Panzerfaust #2 Batman Adventures Mad Love One-Shot Manhattan Projects #1 Amazing Spider-Man #700 Midtown Variant Batman #6
  16. Trending books in the Copper age according to Lyria Market : Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 3rd print Sonic the Hedgehog #1 DC Presents #26 Wolverine #1 Unlimited Series (not limited)
  17. Love Nintendo Power and I searched awhile to find high grade copies of my magazines!
  18. Some comics trending up in the Bronze age according to The Lyria Exchange are: Iron Fist #14 Ghost Rider #1 Amazing Spider-Man #194 Uncanny X-Men #129 Marvel Premiere #47 Amazing Spider-Man #100 Enjoy! (thumbs u
  19. When you have time why dont you post similiar information in the Bronze and Copper sections as well. They now both have a similiar thread to this one. Should get your website more exposure. Thanks Fastballspecial. I will look into that.
  20. thanks for the awesome site whetteon! Is the video game section going to be broken down by systems or will it just be a free for all? I have the video game section broken down by platform. So it's Atari, Nintendo, Microsoft X-Box, Playstation and PC games. Would it be easier to break them down by individual system?
