  1. Much like on ebay, MCS probably has to deal with a large population of buyers who thrill bid/buy, have immediate buyer's remorse, and use the condition of the case as an excuse to return it.
  2. Accurately notating any slab defects is fine, such as chips, scratches, etc., regardless of how severe, or not severe, such defects are. I think the issue might be that MCS' reputation for harsh grading has extended to the grading of the slabs as well, where slabs with barely perceptible defects are listed as "scuffing to front and back of case". I just assume this will be listed on every slab I send in and now just ignore the notation altogether, as buyer and seller. To me, if the standard is so low that a huge percentage of slabs are listed as having scuffs as a matter of policy then the notation has stopped serving its purpose.
  3. This thread is action packed compared to most of my sales threads.
  4. I've had some real clunker auction results as well so I get picky about what I keep as BIN and what goes into auction.
  5. I'm often shocked at some of the realized prices I get on books. Like books I couldn't move here for $5 will sell for $50+ in a weekly auction. It's wild. Of course, I've learned through lots of trial and error what books tend to sell really well on MCS and what books to keep out of auctions entirely.
  6. There's no doubt in my mind that their raw grading has gotten extremely tight lately. I still consign with them and am overall very pleased with doing so but I'm quickly resetting my grade expectations.
  7. Adam Hughes cover lot. Black Widow 11. NM- Gun Honey 1. NM- Wonder Woman 189 NM- SOLD

  9. $25 group lots and free books as well can be found at the last booth in the VCC East Hall:
  10. Mycomicshop would likely accept for consignment most, and possibly all, the books you've posted in this thread. Put the books in their weekly auctions and you are guaranteed to sell them, and you might be pleasantly surprised at what they sell for.
  11. I don't know if there has been an uptick in whiny customers complaining about grades but MCS' already conservative grading seems to have been cranked up a notch.
  12. Tom King can be hit or miss but his current Human Target series, with Greg Smallwood art, is fantastic.
