  1. I believe these are generally called remainder copies, though that sounds less erotic.
  2. Some artists believe, usually correctly, that they know a better placement for a signature than the person who made the window bag.
  3. Great job. You'll be changing your name to Nikodoesntsleep in no time.
  4. I just bid on one in the GSB forum for above the buy it now price. I'll send you the bill.
  5. Takes: First takeit in the thread wins and immediately trumps all ongoing PM negotiations. I reserve the right to overrule takes in the event that a PM deal is concluded and I hadn't yet had a chance to mark an item sold. Any variation of "takeit" counts. Please do not edit takeits and please do not commit to buy unless you intend to follow through. Payment: I accept Zelle, check, money order or cash/cash equivalent. I strongly prefer no PayPal or Venmo but if it's a dealbreaker then let's talk. Payment expected in 72 hours unless we work it out ahead of time. Who can buy: No Hall of Shamers or Probies, or anyone on my personal list. Shipping: Free within the US. International shipping will be at cost and must be determined prior to sale. Returns: Three days' return shipping from receipt. Buyer is responsible for shipping cost back unless item was damaged in transit.
  6. Has anyone actually gotten scammed here by these obvious scammers? We don't need more rules to legislate against minor nuisances.
  7. I already bought and paid for this.
  8. I do expect them to shoot for the moon on pricing. I could see them coming in at $250.
  9. What about the writer for developing the story or the layout artist if a separate artist is used for that? What percentage, if any, should they get?
  10. This Thor arc isn't that good anyway.
  11. I used to stop at the ATM before hitting a show. Then, somewhere along the way, I stopped since all I needed was my phone and a credit card. Now I expect to have to start hitting those ATMs again.
  12. I've been waiting many years for this. https://www.marvel.com/amp/articles/comics/miracleman-omnibus-collection-announcement
  13. Here is some unsolicited advice since I want this thread to be successful for you: Get this thread in order, complete with books still available and asking prices, in a clear, organized fashion. Post everything in your collection you are willing to sell off. When someone buys something, reply to their PMs and assure them that you are sending their books. I suspect that you will complete way more sales if you took these steps. Along with the above, invite others to donate money by bumping your PayPal address once per page. Do not spam people who donate with PMs asking for more. Lastly, invite others to donate their own books directly to this thread whereby they handle the transactions with buyers separately but have payment sent to your PayPal. These boards have generated some very fruitful charity threads over the years using the above methodology.
  14. I'm guessing the amount of people looking to dump their collections on a dealer, instead of just selling the collection themselves, has drastically reduced over the last two years.
  15. One of these things is accurate. My interest in the series waned over time as well, to the point that I realized I was reading it out of obligation instead of enthusiasm. However, the new issue moves the story forward pretty significantly and I found it very entertaining. The art, as I mentioned earlier, is some of the best I've ever seen.
  16. Fiona Staples really stepped her art up from great to insane.
  17. No, "figures" are the number prior to the decimal. 5 figures is $10k+.
