  1. Is this the same book that blew up YouTube over the summer when it originally sold for $2000? If so, that buyer is looking awfully prescient. Comictom101 had the buyer who paid $2000 over the summer on his channel to verify the sale. At the time, that sale seemed cray. I don't know if that constitutes "social media pressure" but it was certainly the beginning of the rapid escalation of interest in this book. Incidentally I would sell that book and put the money into GA. But that's just me.
  2. I offered a US only offering and a worldwide offering, to cover all bases. These are based on weight. The US offering will be heavy so the cost to ship internationally would be cost prohibitive.
  3. Pre press I'll go 4.0. I have a 5.0 that presents much better than this copy. I dig those signatures.
  4. Dropped a package off at the PO today and the line was literally out the door. Fortunately I was able to walk right past everyone and place my drop-off right in a bin.
  5. They grade the card on top of the stack and then assign that grade and all of its qualities to the other 49 cards. Speeds up turnaround times.
  6. I don't know if I've ever bought from a "CGC IT!!" seller but I have scored significant deals buying raw on ebay, including turning many of those raws into slabbed 9.8s. The key is paying at a price point that assumes the book is several grades below whatever the seller claims it to be.
  7. This set ended today via eBay auction for $114. The winning bidder almost immediately requested to cancel . I was so annoyed I pulled all my remaining listings from ebay. Complete Tick Omnibus set. All three volumes, collecting the entire first series. Tick Omnibus 1 Limited Edition. Collects the first six issues of the original Ben Edlund series. Limited to 3000. This is number 1248. Signed on the first page by Ben Edlund with a nice Tick head sketch. Also signed by Bob Polio and George Suarez. Fine condition. Omnibus volume 2 collects issues 7-10 of the original series. FN/VF. Omnibus volume 3 collects the final two issues of the regular series, issues 11-12. VG. Offered here for less than half the auction amount. $50 for the set. SOLD
  8. Have two buying accounts drive up an auction price to artificially inflate the value of something, presumably to list the shill bidder's similar item later on. Not uncommon.
  9. 9forseo Bid on, and won, one of my auctions, then asked to cancel literally within two minutes. The second highest bidder has zero feedback so I suspect shill bidding.
