  1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 Artisan Edition oversized hardcover. Price sticker on back. $30. SOLD
  2. Here's an interesting item. The Technician novel by Mike Kirby, with cover and a handful of interior illustrations by TMNT co-creator Peter Laird. Dated 1981 so three years before TMNT. Nice shape. $40. $30
  3. First takeit wins and immediately trumps all PM negotiations. Any variation of "takeit" counts. I accept Paypal, Venmo, check, money order or cash. No Hall of Shamers or Probies. Payment expected in 72 hours unless we work it out ahead of time. Shipping is free in the US. International shipping will be at cost. NOTE THAT SHIPPING IS EXTREMELY SLOW RIGHT NOW. I GENERALLY SHIP WITHIN 24 HOURS OF PAYMENT RECEIPT BUT EVEN PRIORITY IS TAKING SEVERAL WEEKS. Three days' return shipping from receipt. Buyer is responsible for shipping cost back unless item was damaged in transit. Please do not edit takeits and please do not commit to buy unless you intend to follow through.
  4. USPS seems to have slowed down considerably over the last week, even more so than the prior months. For those dilly-dallying on getting their stuff in the mail, I suggest getting on that.
  5. The 9.2 Cerebus 1 in the sales forum may be a very smart buy right now...

I sold a TMNT 1 second print in 8.5 with white pages for $550 at the start of the pandemic. Wish I could get a mulligan on that one.
  7. Is this the same book that blew up YouTube over the summer when it originally sold for $2000? If so, that buyer is looking awfully prescient.

What was the grade and final price? For some reason BB107 seems to be one of the more common numbers in the run.
  9. First, from one Turtles guy to another, congrats! When I was expecting my first I took a break from buying and started selling off chunks of my collection, mostly due to a crippling paranoia that children would lead to instant poverty. While that ended up being somewhat true, my collecting sickness eventually returned, probably from staring at these forums and ebay at 2am on my phone whilst waiting for a newborn to fall back asleep*. One thing that did change is that I found having a stricter comics budget let me focus my buying much more and, I think, made my collection stronger overall. *4 years later and I'm still waiting for him to sleep. No, seriously, get your naps in now. Like, right now. Go!
  10. Hopefully it doesn't get shaken too much on its way to the buyer.
  11. That was my understanding as well.
  12. I was at a LCS today discussing with the owner the insane gains on all things TMNT lately. He mentioned that, in 1984, the local Diamond distribution center, then located in Allston, MA, had a full long box of first prints sitting in the warehouse unsold. The rep contacted local shops asking if anyone wanted them, everyone passed, and that box was tossed in a dumpster. That box would have held somewhere around 250 copies. I have no idea how accurate this story is, if his memory is correct, etc. But I found it interesting.
  13. In 2015 he did a signing for Avatar where he only signed his Avatar books and allowed CGC to witness. As far as I know that signing was, and will be, his last CGC witnessed signing. Years ago I owned a Swamp Thing 21 Signature Series signed by him and sketched by John Totleben. I was made an offer I couldn't turn down and sold it, to my immediate regret. That book is irreplaceable.
  14. Addenda to this prize: I will also include a mini mystery box just to spice it up. How mini? That's the mystery!
  15. I'm trying to figure out a way to have a sales thread where I have zero books for sale. Although some might argue that my threads basically already accomplish that.
  16. I've received a few 9.9s over the years, all cardstock covers. No 10.0s however. To the OP, don't be surprised if you submit those 30 comics and don't even receive 9.8s.
  17. Yeah, that's the stuff. That kind of remark/remarque/remarqkuekqu is what I want. Ironically, two of the three books I'll be sending in aren't TMNT related so those two will be signature only.
  18. @ADAMANTIUM, do you have the image of the announcement showing the more detailed remarks?
  19. Considering the upcharge for them, I hope not. I am expecting them to be the same detail as what CGC showcased in the signing announcement.
  20. The best cockling is heavy and of pleasant odor.
