  1. I've done many trades, both with dealers and even here on the boards. My approach is always to trade for the fun of it, while trying to get in the ballpark of fair value going both ways. Once one party starts blatantly overvaluing their stuff or getting into exact equivalent prices of things then I walk.
  2. Based on how "tall" GA books are treated I would guess magazine size.
  3. Oh I see. There's a manual entry field, I believe. I've submitted many first-on-the-census books and I think I had to write in the info
  4. Fortunately I have an extensive archive of twerking gifs saved in case of emergency.
  5. This thread went in a weird direction. What's the status of the check? Still in the USPS void?
  6. Trying to rationalize with the irrational is an exercise in futility.
  7. Exactly. The seller is not being blacklisted from the boards. All this think-of-the-children-ing going into the seller's defense is silly. A deal was reneged upon. The buyer has, according to the rules to which we have all agreed, the clear right to nominate the seller for the PL until the situation is resolved in some fashion. I'm willing to bet that a private PM between the buyer and seller could find some amicable solution, resulting in a shaking of hands and everyone moving on with their lives. Unfortunately Rick Starr (or John or whatever his name is) appears unwilling to engage.
  8. The scan doesn't pick it up well but it's signed by Barks, numbered and dated 1981. This is the first Barks signature I've ever owned.
  9. Why do you doubt that he sent the check?
  10. People really need to stop writing "usual rules" apply. It's meaningless.
  11. I suggest deleting his personal information from your post.
  12. Didn't the buyer reach out to the seller within two weeks to inquire about the check, and the seller's response was that he changed his mind about selling the book?
  13. Seems like part of the problem here is that it wasn't communicated to the buyer that the seller changed his mind until two weeks after the deal was made.
  14. Can't wait to see what these early TMNT books do in 2016 and beyond.
