  2. If this is true then you all need to stop shaking your fists at millennials for their grammar usage.
  3. First takeit wins and immediately trumps all PM negotiations. Any variation of "takeit" counts. I accept Paypal, Venmo, check, money order or cash. No Hall of Shamers or Probies. Payment expected in 72 hours unless we work it out ahead of time. US shipping is included. I will ship internationally at cost. Three days' return shipping from receipt. Buyer is responsible for shipping cost back unless item was damaged in transit. Please do not edit takeits and please do not commit to buy unless you intend to follow through.
  4. I made an offer to a seller with that feature turned on at the starting bid price, and he rejected it. The auction is still live, with no bids, so let's see if I'm still interested when the auction closes in a couple days. Separately, an item was listed yesterday with a starting bid of $150 or best offer. I saw it and immediately offered $200, which the seller accepted. I was fine with that price. Maybe I could have just bid and won for $150 a week later but I didn't want to risk it. Conclusion: I like that bid or best offer feature. I think I just like having options as a buyer.
  5. You aren't allowed to send an offer less than 5%.

  7. Grading/QC 3/9/20 Assuming this gets shipped sometime this week, that's an insane TAT. Shipped 3/10/20. That's cray.
  8. Beautiful copy. This copy looks pristine but was dinged for light staple rust which is barely perceptible. Could be a good candidate to crack and resubmit. $160 shipped.

  10. George does not own the data he aggregates, only the specific way such data is presented. Referencing sales data that can be mined from publicly accessible websites is not a copyrightable concept.
  11. I just sold something using this feature

  13. Probably a 7.0 due to the corners and spine ticks. I would not have it pressed, as the cost of the pressing is likely more than the value of the book. The press will also do very little for the specific damage that book has anyway.
  14. I've sold a handful of things using this feature, and also bought some stuff when I've received an offer via this function. Usually it just starts the conversation. A buyer sends an offer on an item I'm watching for 10% off the list price. I respond with a counter-offer of 20% off. We meet in the middle at 15%. I will admit annoyance when I receive an offer from a seller and it's like 5% off. Seems pointless.
  15. Babe Ruth has morphed into something of a mythic cultural figure in America. He's as famous here as it's possible for a person or thing to be famous. He's also particularly well known in Japan and Korea due to their interest in baseball so his fame has crossed borders. My point: Babe Ruth might not be well known to you but he as is famous as Superman or Spider-Man to Americans who, quite frankly, generate most of the world's pop culture.
  16. Oh, because of the press. It's probably time for people to stop using CCS altogether.
  17. 🤔 I've felt that way lately too.
