    The "uncurving" would lead to damage just like the curving. My recommendation at this point is Gerber Mylars and fullbacks.

    And this is the nail that pins them to the wall... Why bother replacing the inner holder if there wasn't a problem in the first place? They say the banana holder isn't an issue. They claim the bends don't damage the books inside. BUT...they feel the need to replace them?

    I'm pretty sure they THINK they are growing the company, while simultaneously destroying their reputation through cost-cutting measures. Their attitude is "90% of the people won't notice. We can juggle the other 10% and who really cares if we lose them?" They can just gaslight all their customers.

    Short-term might be their only concern. After all, they can abandon ship right before it sinks. Sell it for a song. Sail off into the sunset with all books in the green. How many times have we seen a successful company destroyed after selling out?

    They were bought out by a corporation that cares about profit and nothing else. They compromised quality for speed. In all fairness, that's what people seemed to care about. Years of constant whining about turnaround times. Now look!

    THAT is a 9.8??? Please tell me this is a joke? Remember when we were told THREE graders looked at every book? There is NO WAY that is happening now. I doubt there are even TWO sets of eyes on each book if they are pushing trash like that through.

    I met DavidtheDavid on the boards and then in real life. We became pretty good friends in person. He used to live across town. He's moved pretty far away now, but we keep in touch.

    You're right. I'm sure I will continue to greatly overpay for books that I want, only to turn right around and sell them for a loss. I'm more upset at the lost book than the lost money. You win some you lose some.
