All the NFT/collectibles/stimulus related insanity going on in the covid era aside, it still blows my mind how much money people spent on these not really knowing how many copies of pristine unsold/unopened of all these games are out there.  Early 90s a friend of mine's family owned a computer store that sold a lot of PC and console games and they always had crates of unsold games sitting in the back of the store.  I think we are still a long long way away from knowing where prices will really settle.  I grew up during the golden age of gaming but I won't touch these as collectibles for another 10 or 20 years if ever.

I agree on several of your points. I think it will be many years before that market settles after the alleged manipulation.  I’m shocked people couldn’t see what was happening, but I suppose money makes people lose their sense.

Hard to say...high interest rates, it's a tough argument to make when you can park your money into something with a high yield of 8-10%.....either way, my personal collection I don't really care about the value that much (other than for insurance purposes) since I have no intention of selling.  I'm just happy that one spamming clown is no longer here!

If you say his name 3 times, he will return.

I guess my crystal ball worked that time as projected :). I was trying to warn everyone on here about what I'm predicting.  Hopefully most people listened

I think those of us who track the price of this book through GPA and many of the other books that shot up during COVID saw this wasn’t going to last. Still a great book.

Hopefully those that bought at the inflated prices have time to wait for the price to recover over the long term.

I enjoyed the Eniac series but quickly tired of the hurdles needed to get books, lost interest in the line, and kind of stopped thinking about Bad Idea altogether.

I stuck around through the last lot of releases, but grew tired of the games and paying $8 for a comic I can read in 5 minutes made no sense for me. I think megalith looks good, but again the games. I’m out.

Like I said bottom of the ladder 7.5. I perfect looking 7.5 would have sold for much more than 117k.

Well no such thing as a perfect looking 7.5 as by the grade it has some defects. It is a matter of preference what defects a buyer is willing to accept in a certain grade. This book has great colors. I think it presents well. I don’t follow the market though so I haven’t sorted through dozens of copies to make a comparison.

Much deeper waters than I swim in, but I would think there is a slight adversity to buying books that a seller turned blue from purple.  This book looks okay compared to most hatchet jobs, but I think the stigma is still there. 2c

That is a good point. I’m the same as you, I’ll never be able to afford this book, but I wouldn’t pass on a book that had restoration removed if it still presented this nicely.

It does have some minor restoration removal, but I don't think that can be responsible for the entire drop.  Here is a link:

    Amazing Fantasy #15

I read that. I still think it is a very nice copy. Granted this book is way above what I could afford and I don’t follow the market for this book, but that’s still a huge drop on what looks to be a fairly nicely presenting copy.

Maybe if I was spending 6 figures on a comic I would feel different.

Thank you. I was trying to checkout on my phone. That may be why I saw no option to request the total from the seller. I will give it a try on my laptop.

I added multiple items to my cart from a single seller, went to checkout and there was no “request total from seller”. This was on my laptop, logged into my account, and doing this several different times with several different sellers. I googled the issue and sounds like this is an intermittent issue with eBay.

Anyone comes across this issue before?

I think it varies by seller. Some are fast to send a combined shipping invoice if they list in the description it's something they do.

Thank you. I couldn’t remember if the seller can send you an invoice directly or if the buyer triggers it through checkout.

You can message them to combine it. Alternatively, on the webpage when you get to checkout there's a button that says request a total from the seller. I think this only works on desktop and not the app or mobile.
