Just found out my WD#1 came back a 9.8

I contacted The Walking Dead Escape event coordinator and asked about the #100 exclusive/variant they are giving to Survivor attendee's. This is what he had to say:

 

"You will receive an exclusive cover to Issue #100 that you will not be able to get outside of this event."

Not sure if it's been said, but I wouldn't pay big money for a raw book on ebay unless it's from someone on here you know, or one of the more reputable sellers. If it's raw and at a crazy price, it's probably too good to be true.

I've been burned twice on restored books that were guaranteed Blue. Not worth the chase in those cases.

On the flip side, I've gotten some beautiful mid-grade books, pressed them and have seen awesome results with this, if you're OK with 6.0's, 7.0's and 8.0's!

It's got a preview of ToT in the back. The preview is in another Image title, too. I'd rather use the money to buy a #1...

Huge thanks to Chandler, Sharon and Tonia for their Stan Lee session. Had a great time, and got some keepsakes that i'll always cherish. Still my go-to's for any SS stuff.

Once I heard Chromium, I took a step back. That said, Silvestri's cover is GORGEOUS.

HOS 92. One of my favorite covers!

I know they've been grading tough on tanning, but this poor thing's grade got hammered. I was definitely thinking a solid 8.0.

Here's the back cover. The tanning actually looks worse in person...

I was promised from someone i really trusted that it was not restored. I guess mistakes happen. WHO GLOSSES A COVER ON A BARELY G-/G BOOK?

Regardless, nice to own a little piece of history

FYI, the two tones on the book toward the bottom are from two scans. Case is a little too big for the scanner.
