  1. And for anyone looking for an Action 13... Action 13 CGC 6.5 Extensive Restoration includes color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cleaned, reinforced. From the collection of Ruben Blades. (This book has been deslabbed and is currently in a Mylar but still has the label) $19500
  2. I think it's been a while since I've done one of these so in case any new boardies need references feel free to contact Gator, Bunky Brian, Bob Storms. Shipping is free within the U.S. (Outside of U.S. it's exact cost) First in the thread wins. Time payments are OK as long as negotiated before posting I'm not sure how many books I'm going to list tonight and apologize in advance if things get listed slowly. (We are currently working without a scanner and am no good on an IPhone!) Whatever doesn't get listed tonight will be listed tomorrow. Thanks for looking!
  3. I missed this the first time through. Is there any way to see what the Action 1 or what some of those unpublished Luthor / Superman pages sold for?
  4. Even buried, The wolv 75 splash is already at roughly double the price it sold for in CL a few years ago and still has days to go! Looks like it is going to blow past what I thought it would sell for. Not sure if it's because the description kind of makes it seem like this is the actual issue Wolverine gets his skeleton ripped out, if it's because the Adam Kubert OA market has gotten that hot in the last few years, or 90s collectors like myself are just desperate for a good page from this storyline. (Or if it's because CC often nets very strong auction results for consignors in general) Or some combination of all of the above.. I'm a little curious now. I can't think of too many other examples of 1990s interior pages (not done by someone named Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane or Barry Windsor-Smith) cracking 5 figures. Does that put this piece in pretty rarefied air? Or are there other 90s pages that would sell for 5 figures and I'm just not thinking of them at the moment?
  5. Same. If it doesn't get close to $50k (or at least $40k) i'm going to feel really dumb regarding some of the offers I turned down last year We'll find out in less than 24 hours! I'll be surprised if it can't double the copy missing the cover, back cover, c/f and entire batman story, but who knows! Holden, usually i'm rooting for you but in this case I'm really hoping your max bid comes nowhere close if any board member wins, send me a PM, this copy has a really interesting history/story/pedigree to it.
  6. Those two pages of yours after the splash are fantastic. This story has always been a favorite of mine. X-men 25 / Wolverine 75 were the first two comics I read as a kid. I've been trying to track down pages from both books too and was lucky to have the opportunity to purchase the Wolverine 75 cover this year. I've managed to get some pages from each book but none on the level of the one in the upcoming CC auction (or that page 43 of yours) The splash from X-men 25 definitely exists. I don't own it but I've seen it. I could be wrong but I think I remember seeing the page from the ComicConnect auction selling somewhere once before. (I thought it was an old Comicconnect auction) But I don't know for sure and can't find the sale now.
  7. I just posted about this in comics general but I figured it deserves a mention here too. Last month I had a box full of expensive comic books go missing while being shipped from our house in Rochester to our hotel at San Diego Comic Con. Today Matt found the books in the UK. I can't say thanks enough. I'm so glad I dodged a bullet and that if they had to wind up halfway across the world they ended up with Matt instead of someone who may have been more inclined not to return them! I've already dealt with Matt enough to know what a great guy he is, but I thought I'd pass this story along. Thanks Matt!
  8. I wanted to update this story with a positive ending!! The box showed up at our friend Matt's place in the UK (board name *matterus023*) I'm still not entirely sure how a box that was shipping from Rochester, NY to San Diego, CA ended up in the UK! (I think the label got ripped off the box and they delivered it based on a return address from an old CGC invoice in with one of the books. Not sure, but regardless of how they wound up halfway across the world, I'll take it!) So the box has been found and the books are being returned. HUGE Kudos to Matt for finding the books and reaching out immediately, thanks to SECollector who helped make the connection for us, and a big thank you to everyone who flooded our inbox this morning with the good news

Just a heads up to anyone who doesn't want their time wasted.
