  1. I was so captivated by the front cover that I didn't even think about looking at the back. The grader did not lie. Did you grade it, LD?
  2. I haven't checked the grader's notes, but I'm guessing it's because of the substantial, color breaking crease at FC-LRC and accumulated spine stresses?
  3. I think you need to just keep that eye put away.
  4. I knew you were the one that snagged the others! I was going to snatch up the 9.4 that was selling, too. But no, they were all gone shortly after I got mine. All of them! I only had limited funds so went for my favorite cover of the bunch. Heck no I don't want to sell it.
  5. And a few slabs. Not exactly this week, but very recent purchases. I can't get a good scan of a slab so these are sales pics that I robbed from ebay.: This Vampi. #68 ended up being real nice for it's grade. I can't find any flaws, and for $45 plus shipping, I thought it was a steal. Edit to add: Found minor ink loss/rub at the middle area of the spine, back cover. Weird that nothing shows on the front. Weird #v12 #3, too ghastly of a cover to pass up. Her eyes say it all. Another Canadian variant Vampi. to add to my set. Not shooting for a complete run. Just those with covers that I like, which just so happens to be most of them .
  6. Thanks, Greg. I posted new scans. They're not too bad for maybe mid-grade books? They exhibit great color and gloss.
  7. They were. Sorry about the scans. Something happened that caused them to look all funky. I'm going to try to re-scan them.
  8. I think my scanner is about shot. The scans looked good before uploading? I'll have to try to fix that.
  9. The first pic., is the book that I bought. The second is the book that I received. In the end, I ended up with two copies:
  10. Picked a few raws off of the bay. Nosferatu. This is one heavy magazine!:
  11. Horrific, classic cover, and a sweet copy to boot!
  12. I'm jealous of all of them! Oh, and the 9.6 #7 is a real beauty.....
  13. Oops, my bad. I thought you were referring to Comicconnect.
  14. You need to call their customer service, and remind them that you've paid. If you're lucky, you won't be double charged (happened to me). Then , and only then, you might receive a shipping notice a week or more later.
  15. I've been using their silver/golden sized for my comics, and they are nice. I wanted something a little thicker for my mags, and the 56pt boards were the answer, but imo they're just a little too small in size. The Gerbers would give me an extra 1/8" in width, a 1/16" on each side, which isn't too much. I think an extra an extra 1/4", an 8 3/4X11" would be great. That would give an extra 1/8" on each side of the mag. It would be a better fit in the 9X11.5" Mylite2's, too. I'll just have to make do with what I can get.
  16. Oh man, I wish that I had known about that. Love Enric art.
  17. Where did you find the backer boards? The only size I seem to be able to find are about exactly the size of the magazines. I'd like them to be a little larger, like yours appear to be. I'm currently using the Comic Pro Line 56PT boards. I love their thickness, but wish that they were a little larger. They're 81/2X11".
  18. Ahhhh.... that's better. About got blinded by that bright white. Sweeeeet!
  19. Sales thread purchase? I remember seeing one, and it was very tempting. Trying to stay focused on horror, only. You know, monsters and similar, ghastly beasts.
