  1. This thread is basically the town of Bedlam, the real question is who's Madder Red? hm

Seeing as I carry the user name psychoJ I think I can take that mantle :insane:

I'm also wearing red slippers if that helps

  2. While I'm paying more foe shipping I'm having a boardie ship me my FP copies so they arrive minty fresh and not the horror stories I heard about how FP ships.

Good idea. Should've thought of that instead of waiting on my FN+ copies to arrive. I'm assuming they shipped them by folding them into an empty bottle and tossing it into the Atlantic with my name/address written on the bottle.

Received my FP's today. I was very nervous about the condition based on everything I have heard about FP, and the fact that I live across the pond. Couldn't be happier with the condition - with the exception of one sad copy, every single book is NM+ to NM/MT. Gorgeous books! So glad I asked them to pack them in a box rather than using their standard mailers. Also glad that they humored my request.

Very big fan of FP customer service right now.

That's good to hear I'm glad they helped you out (thumbs u

  3. Great sketches Mysterio, I still haven't read this book so really need to get with the programme. I actually ordered 2 copies of the 1st issue before it was released for cover price and then after it became a hot book got a message from the seller saying we can no longer make your order! Never picked it up after that as sold out and selling for more than I wanted to pay.

Love your sig line by the way Mysterio, always enjoy seeing it (thumbs u

  4. I had books from FP arrive today and as with everyone else, all books in one bag with no board ad a soft cardboard envelope, not even a proper mailer. Books are VF and can't see how they could arrive better when packed in a way which will mean blunted corners. I truely hope they didn't post to the states in the same envelopes but it sounds like they did :(

I'm still after a 3rd eye variant, does anyone else think this was one of the harder covers to get?

  5. The 3rd eye variant for this book is doing well and iv said previously the only copy I haven't been able to get so looking for one of those. Off the back of that do you think other 3rd eye variants will do well, the deadpool variant for example? I was just considering wether to get some of the other 3rd eye variants or wether the bedlam one was only doing well because of the book and not the cover

  6.

Sorry Larry but from experience, and I think most UK collectors on here would agree, FP are not the greatest retailer over the pond. Therefore not really Ignorant at all.

I, tend to avoid them if possible and only ever buy variants like yours from them as it is often the only place I can find them.

Yeah unfortunatley I hardly use FP then when I have decided to use them a couple of times in the past few weeks they've let me down, meaning I'm not encouraged to use them again. They took my money on pre-order for Catwoman #13 then on the morning of release cancelled my order as they said they hadn't ordered enough stock to cover all the orders they'd taken! On the morning of release! Well with that book selling out everywhere obviously it left me high and dry without a copy. Luckily a friend picked up 3 copies from their LCS and were nice enough to send me one, no guesses as to their LCS..yeah Forbidden Planet doh!

  7. Did a deal today for 6 pages of OA from issue 1, all including Madder Red :) Very excited although not all are staying with me which will be sad.

For those in London England there are about 17 pages. From book one on show at Orbital.

    (thumbs u

  8. Anyone watch Arrow last night? I wasn't to sure, thought the episode felt a bit thin and lacking solid content. I don't really know much about green arrow so not sure what fans of the book think, I see Deadshot is in next weeks episode

  9. Comickaze has them up now. limit of 3, buying only one makes it steep due to shipping but if you are getting 2 or 3 the price with shipping isnt 2 bad. 1 book with shipping is like $18, but if you buy 2 it's $30 shipped, buy 3 and price for book is a little bit better. Granted is Graham Cracker gets more thats ideal as they seem to be the least on the internets at this point.

I can't seem to find these on Comickaze's page, anyone have a direct link?

    http://comickazeonline.webs.com/

They only made 50 copies available for online sales so I would buy quickly...

don't mean to rain on your parade but that variant looks like the phantom....and they are not 50 print run

It is the phantom variant, comickaze is one of the listed shops selling the book. Think the 50 is the limit they are currently making available in their online section

  10. Is it worth paing the $40 for the nycc variant guys or do you think this is to high? Will I regret not getting a copy at this price and end up paying more if I wait basically?

I would just buy one mate. It's either limited to 500 or 1000 and either way, if it's a big success like people are suggested it will be worth it. Dre still has a couple so put your order in and get a guaranteed 9.8

Well I ordered a 2nd copy just in case Gaz. I'd like to keep 1 raw and get 1 cgc'd but you know how costly that can be from the UK Gaz. If Iv got the 2 copies then at least Iv got the option and can maybe sub a copy next year at LSCC, not sure if nick spencer will be there but if he is then could get it SS's

  11. I am in the bad books also, I have been off work for 5 days and she has been away.

When she came back yesterday :o she found me sitting where she had left me, unshaven, surrounded by 5 days worth takaways, dishes, washing & a long box of comics spead out on the living room floor.

She asked what I had been doing, I replied watching sci-fi films and messing about on the boards buying comics. :acclaim:

She was not a happy bunny for some reason. :screwy:

I will never understand women. (shrug)

    You have the perfect life.

Apart from living in Newcastle :baiting:

You say her indoors had been away, if that's on holiday your well within your rights but if that's with work then she may remain pissed for a while! I know my other half would, it certainly would have resulted in a massive barney :slapfight:

  12. Too stop and start for my limited attention span and I never really got into Rugby League (Although I did try).

My limited sporting ability is focussed on Footy, Squash golf (Technically a game, not a sport) and Tae Kwon Do.

There are few pleasures in life as sweet as kicking someone in the head :) (legally)

Tae Kwon Do's for girls

    Nah.

Tang Soo Do is for girls. Ask my wife who is a black belt.

This is what I used to do.

    I have done this

    I've done this. :acclaim:

I actually used to do mixed martial arts for several years before my health wouldn't allow any longer. Best iv ever felt physically and mentally. I did Jeet Kune Do which was the fighting system that Bruce Lee designed to be the ultimate martial fighting technique. I was just about to get to student instructor level and had to have more surgery and docs told me I couldn't do it after that. Couldn't have been more gutted and still miss it everyday. Brilliant way to keep fit, give yourself confidence and be able to defend yourself against many forms of attack though
