  1. Glad to see this book made someone else's list as well
  2. Dark Horse has a great Archie Archives series, so you can read them for next to nothing
  3. To further illustrate the place the quarterly Jackpot should have on your first 10 list, Jackpot 5 has a Veronica appearance in the Archie story, yet her first appearance is in Pep 26!
  4. I bumped the thread Shield did on arrival dates on these books. Jackpot was a quarterly, so Jackpot 4 was designated as Winter 1942, not January 1942.
  5. I never visited the store, but I do remembering buying books from them at the Chicago Minicons in the '80s.
  6. This is the highest graded copy of any of the three Jetta issues. Another boardie and I are debating the likelihood that any high-grade copies of any of the issues exist. Anyone ever seen one? The 1977 Mile High Church list has numbers 5 and 6 as fines...
  7. Just got this awesome set of Wilburs from thirdgreenham. Very nice books to add to my collection
  8. I agree. I think the second half of 1941 would be a good time frame. 1940 predates several iconic characters such as Captain America, Black Terror and Hangman. If you go all the way out to December 1941, you get Archie, too Late 1941 gives you a lot of war covers as well.
  9. I think so. A 1.8 blue sold at auction at comicconect in april 2016 for 25,500$ The CW Archie series That starts will certainly garner more following and interest for this Archie 1 presents alot higher since the cover is detached would have gotten a 5.0 with cover Im thinking 35k to 40k for this cgc blue 3.0 blue label wouldnt be surprised that it goes 45k. super rare book and iconic. 75th anniversary also anything under 25k is a major steal. 30k a bargain So, what did it sell for? sold for a nice bargain 29388$ 30k since the cw series will bring archie back on the map! As i predicted $30k seems reasonable to me. Loose covers tend to depress prices realized a tad.
