  1. . She's got nothin' on top...she's all about that bass.
  2. Red Tornado looks terrible! He looks like something from the Power Rangers show. It looks like he's ready to go do some landscaping around the yard.
  3. They've definitely got the right vibe for this series, for sure.
  4. ROTFL! No way, my friend. I show up with no comic book clothing on at all with my family in tow. I talk & act like a collector and am not just interested in the comics. Nice try, though. Obviously he knows it's a key and he has an Overstreet he looks up pricing in, but he hasn't a clue about grading and what the current market is on anything. Look, you can argue with me all you want but you weren't there and didn't "experience" how this guy handles himself and his business. You'd be put off, as well. But by whom? ..by the flea market dealer. Haven't you been following the conversation here?

  6. I wasn't looking for dirt cheap. I was looking for reasonable pricing where an item might actually sell.
  7. First off, he doesn't know I'm a reseller. Secondly, he most certainly does NOT know what he has. The ASM #300 was $300 and not even an 8.5...
  8. Hit a flea market yesterday that we hadn't been to in a few years. One guy that I remembered was still there and had a lot more comics this time (along with tons of cool vintage memorabilia). Unfortunately, he still has the same clue as far as pricing. It's frustrating to see a 2.0 Sub-Mariner #1 for $300 and he won't budge more than $100 off the price. "But a near-mint is $600!" the expert proclaimed to me when I offered some friendly advice. Oh well. I escaped with this handful of books for $45, so I did okay. I might take some crisp $100 bills there and see if I can get him to come down on some of his better books like an ASM #300, GI Joe #155, Star Wars #107, etc. An interesting statement from him (even April thought he talked WAY too much) was, "Cash only...the government doesn't know I do this." Here's my purchase and then some photos of his multi-booth shop from his online ad... I don't much care for people that run museums and have cool old kitsch.
  9. I've actually eaten at Carmine's and took a leak next to Doc Rivers (in the men's room, of course). This was back when he played for the Knicks. That was quite some time ago...1993, I think.
  10. I recently finished Voyager, and Captain Janeway is right up there with Quark and all the goofy characters as the worst of any series. At least Neelix ended up with a nobility about him, but Janeway was not only a as a captain, but pretty annoying as well with her stupid Prymaat Conehead voice.
  11. I know that, but it's the same as me telling you to make sure you wear a suit & tie to court instead of boxer shorts and a ratty t-shirt. A needless/useless reminder...it's something you already put in practice and do 100% of the time.
  12. Sean, really? *I* need to take a course in customer service? I can "take umbrage" or be annoyed at anything I want outside of my business. That doesn't mean I'm not friendly and polite to all my customers and bend over backwards to make certain they're all happy. Two different things.
  13. That makes no sense. If I've shipped 5,000 packages in a row where the feedback states "Excellent packaging job!" then there's no reason for you to make the reminder.
  14. Thing is that packing things correctly does not seem to be the norm so those who have not dealt with you do not know what to expect. Bullchit. That's what feedback, DSRs and feedback comments are for. My feedback is loaded with comments on how well I pack my comics and everything else I sell. All they have to do is look. Lazy bums.
  15. I thought you wore a monocle constantly anyway, like Mr. Peanut.
  16. A recommendation from Jay is like the Word of Vader for me. Thanks, I'll pick one up!
  17. I really like that DC Comics shadowbox! Where'd you get that from?
  18. Are they all pretty much the same as long as you get one with high magnification?
  19. Just curious about this since I'm thinking of submitting some stuff for the first time but don't have nearly enough to get the 50-book pre-screen minimum. It'll be great practice to try to do it myself, but thought about getting a jeweler's loupe to assist my aging eyes.
  20. If I had Robot Man's collection I'd consider that book drek as well. Robot Man has one of the best collections of *anything* I've ever seen. It's mind-boggling. The fact that I was able to contribute something to it is even MORE mind-boggling.
