  1. Nice book with awesome pages
  2. Sent them in at Hereos, well most of them some where board opps that happened to show up today.
  3. There goes another big key that's going to be ruined by a sharpie. I only have Stan sign in blood
  4. Recently Sold my 5.5 in hopes of downgrading my SA pre 1965 keys to the 4.0 range. Thanks to Tom I am back in the club as of tonight. He spent 6 hours getting me the scan to show me that the book was as nice as he described. Defiantly something I am going to crack and press before I have Stan sign it at Chicago.
  5. Some actual scans of my copy Thanks Gator
  6. Quick payment and Great asset to the boards. One of the reason my books go here 1st before ebay.
  7. Aquaman 1 is not helping you sell DC Joey
  8. Of course I never thought anyone would pay 1.1 million for an AF 15 either. I feel bad for that guy now since there are 2 other 9.6s. It sold for very close to the asking price Tortoise. The book is commanding decent numbers and I think come 2014 when Hulk movie adds are popping up and the 2nd Avengers is also coming out it will go crazy. I think the Hulk will get more screen time in Avengers 2 because of his success in the 1st one.
  9. I expect to see more I just don't expect to see them in the next few sales. I'm thinking a sweet spot for a 2.0 is 2800-3200$ right now just based off the price of other available low/mid grades. What I do like the best here in this discussion is when I offered my 2.5 up for sale a month ago I was laughed at by several people with my price point before it sold. All the while I was quoting the 1.5 that sold for 2500$ there was no end to the people telling me that was a fluke based on the signatures inside the cover.
  10. I agree with everything you're throwing out on the subject. I think our time frames are a little off as I expect the jump to occur in 2-3 years as opposed to 1-2. I know of at least 3 Hulk 1s right now that are 3.5/4.0s that are cheaper than that 2.0 or are just a couple hundred more. Books that are not just on eBay but are in stock with actual convention floor dealers. Once those dry up I'll start to worry. Like I said that Hulk 1 4.0 on the bay keeps calling my name if I had sold the extra books last night that I thought I was going to sell it would be mine. As it is I fully expect to spend 5k on a 4.0 before september. I just don't want to spend all my cash before Chicago. I'm coming off a very expensive Heroes con where I went almost triple my suggested budget between buys, art and Cgc. Once the coffers restock Hulk 1 and Xmen 1 are 1st on my list to acquire and I'll be done with the big Marvel SA keys. Then it's on to smaller keys or DC I haven't decided yet.
  11. Nice book Bane, I was thinking about grabbing it. I'm just more of a marvel guy. Still trying to decide if I want to do DC keys outside of SC4,22 and BB 28.
  12. Only time will tell. I really think in the next year or two, Hulk 1 will go up significantly . and 4K+ for a 2.0 will be common. Do I think that this is the future of the book? Yes I agree 100% but I think that this price tag is a few years away. Closer to 2014/2015 as you mentioned above. The movie is slated for 2015 and I agree the book is important. You guys know me and you know I love the Hulk. I offered 4600$ on the 4.0 on eBay. Was countered with 4750$ and have been debating it. I was about to pull the trigger last night after I completed a huge sale. But my buyer ended up buying a few thousand dollars less than I expected, so right now I am waiting for Chicago to roll around. Does this book have great upward potential? Yes should people invest in it now? Yes with out a doubt. Is a 2.0 worth 4200$? No, not while there are 4.0s to be had for just a couple hundred dollars more.
  13. With the junk that was missing from the back they paid for both. That book will never upgrade. Was it a nice looking 2.0? Yes if you never turn it over its probably the nicest looking 2.0 you will find. Was it worth the price it commanded? In my opinion no. I would rather spend and extra couple hundered and buy a book that isn't missing a chunk and presents well. However, to each his own. Will that price affect future low grade copies? I wouldn't bank on it setting any standards when there are still 3.5/4.0s to be had close to the same price.
  14. A blue 1.0 sold on eBay yesterday for 1,175.00. I was going to wait til I had it in hand but... Awesome man I ment to point it out but I've been so busy I forgot. Grats on the pick up.
  15. That's a big ? for me.. I am not sure how that 2.0 sale on Heritage would change the market for lower graded copies. Not at all a 1.0 sold for 1175$ on ebay after that sale as mentioned above. You can buy a 4.0 on eBay right now for 4750$ that 2.0 sale was a fluke.
  16. Lost out on the Painting by 500$ but snagged this the day before. Funny thing is if I hadnt I would own the painting.
  17. picked up a bats 251 234 and 232, Iron man 1, and a Sara Richard Magik Sketch that I forgot to take photos of.
