  1. Seriously. Crazy prices IMHO. What's up with the prices the strongside_collectibles books went for Sunday? Is he/she a dealer I should know about? Haven't bought anything from them and no disrespect against him/her obviously, but at those prices I never will (or rather, never will be able to - those prices do not reflect what those issues are worth to me personally - especially with small scans). I'm all about more NM bronze DC horror surfacing for all of our benefit. But, no thanks to this thread, I don't see it happening in the near future. I really believe that - there is an obvious strong demand for it all (no duh). Sucks, but what a great genre to finally get it's due, outside of the Adams/Wrightson material. I cannot/refuse to be upset about that fact. Someone post a sweet cover I have not seen yet and make me happy please. It happens quite often and makes my wantlist a little longer. *hint* I am a sucker for Luis Domiguez stuff. He's so underrated it's a shame. /best thread on the boards - thanks to Sterling and Shiver
  2. Thanks for pointing it out. After I got it, I noticed this cover for Sgt. Rock 308. Looks like Kubert swiped one of his own covers for the Weird War 72.
  3. Very nice Weird War books. Luis Dominguez is one of my favorites. Someone (I forget whom) mentioned this Kubert cover on the boards once and I had to search out a copy for myself. No way this cover would be done today.
  4. I got his Manitoba copy of DC Special Series 21 in 9.4 last time around. First Miller Batman. You can't beat that. The best thing I bought was the Manitoba Neal Adams Muhammed Ali/Superman All-New Collector's Edition in 9.4. That is something I had been wanting for a while. Best wrap-around cover ever IMO. Cost a fortune, but well worth it. Jimmy Carter, for God's sake!!! Doug is awesome.
  5. Actually, I got an email from Doug yesterday that included these issues: GHOSTS (DC; 1971-1982) #60(Manitoba Copy; NM+, 9.6 = $25); --- #61(Manitoba Copy; NM-, 9.2 = $10); --- #62(Manitoba Copy; VF/NM, 9.0 = $7); #63(Manitoba Copy; NM-, 9.2 = $10); --- #64(Manitoba Copy; NM, 9.4 = $14); --- #65(Manitoba Copy; NM, 9.4 = $14); #66(Manitoba Copy; VF/NM, 9.0 = $7); --- #67(Manitoba Copy; NM, 9.4 = $14); --- #68(Manitoba Copy; NM-, 9.2 = $10); #69(Manitoba Copy; NM+, 9.6 = $14); --- Not all 9.4s, but I just assumed that was the situation he was speaking of. If it wasn't, there's a lead on some 9.4s and up. Don't know if they're still available as a few of the HOMs, HOSs and Unexpecteds I was interested in were gone by the time I heard back from Doug.
  6. Doug Sulipa I take it? I missed out on a few books as well because orders got in before mine. He said, "It seems all Bronze Horror are HOT."
