Unfortunately, that's not the type of double cover we're talking about in here. That's the issue with the outer yellow sunburst cover and the inner blue cover. Haha i figured, just thought i'd throw it in. Double covers for all!!!

I just paid $6 (shipping included) for a VF Spider-Man 98 double cover. Did I pay a fair(ish) price?

I'm not saying anyone involved falls into any of these categories, but there are plenty of people who A) Have too much damn money and toss it around without knowing what they're doing or checking on stuff, prone to being duped. B) Have legitimate mental problems and really believe the twisted facts because they actually see them that way. C) Sociopaths (not exclusive from B) D) dumb scammers

If you've seen this, you should take pics and send them to CGC, maybe with an explanation of how it was done. I imagine they are always looking for ways to improve their casing. That would help everyone in this hobby.

Whoever bought it back in 2009 from Heritage for $52,281.25 put it in a box with a couple of raw comics and then put the box in a storage unit. That is where all high dollar collectors keep their books you know. Then they quit paying the storage unit fees or maybe they died and their heirs didn't know about the storage unit. So now it shows up on ebay with a listing that was suspicious even before Sal here found the Heritage link. Will be interesting watching this one. I expect negative feedback left at some point. Maybe he had to hide it from his wife in the divorce settlement... Stranger things have happened... I agree, and there are lots of people who treat 50K like we treat 50$ or even 5$. Hell this could have been his/her ("storage owner's") 100th AF15 for all we know. Of course, everyone has the right to be suspicious and to bid or not bid as they feel comfortable, for any number of reasons. And there are risks with any transaction. But I'm not sure anything should be reported unless you have a good faith belief (somewhat supportable) that something is fraudulent/stolen. NOTE: i'm of the OPINION that this is pretty shady.
