  1. and the pressure of making a Batman movie, which to me that pressure alone is insanely high.
  2. I don't see anything bad about him not bringing in JL and if he was it would have been for one or maybe two scenes and that would be a waste of time.
  3. I just think the Ben is upset with himself over "live by night" and tired of everybody asking about Batman. but the one thing John Campea said before if Wonder Woman & JL comes out and is received well by both fans and critics then WB/DC would feel happy.
  4. so I just got my display case and started with all of my Dragonball collection. I'll post pictures of the display once I'm finished with it. I do think I'm going to need another display case to get my Sideshow Wonder Woman.
  5. I think John Campea shouldn't have said anything, hell even himself said to not even take it has broken a scoop because he's been wrong in the past.
  6. there are so many things in March happening that I don't know how I'm going to have time for it.
  7. I'm going to see it sometime this week when I get the chances. Bosco how are the numbers compared to the 1st movie. I know it doubles it's opening amount when it open.
  8. I also agree his an excellent choice and if true then maybe come later this weekend or next week we get conformation of him directing The Batman.
  9. i think both sit outside and walk around inside during the day.
  10. if CW is going to get these many shows then I would like them to have some start in August or April/ May after some of the show season comes to an end.
  11. I think what we're seeing are the effects of changes that WB has done in the last couple of months. with them making DC Films, changing course from what Synder, Goyer & co, plan out and the fill of how each movie is going to be different but still feel the same. or it could be the middle people between Kevin Tsujihara and DC Films (Geoff Johns & Jon Berg) or it could be between both Johns and Berg. where johns can see a storyline that can tie each film at the same time even each director freedom. let's say everything else on the Batman is in the final concept phase with them waiting for Affleck to give his final draft of the movie and finding a director before March. then depending on the director we could start hearing casting on the movie and an official announcement in March with early April filming and could have the movie out next year with maybe taking Flash release date.
  12. It would have been his first big-picture experience. Live By Night: - Budget: $65MM - WW Box Office: $19MM - Revenue Ratio: .29X (yikes) Argo: - Budget: $44.5MM - WW Box Office: $232.3MM - Revenue Ratio: 5.2X The Town: - Budget: $37MM - WW Box Office: $154MM - Revenue Ratio: 4.2X Gone Baby Gone: - Budget: $19MM - WW Box Office: $34.6MM - Revenue Ratio: 1.82X (his first directing effort) Maybe seeing the massive work involved in BvS while he shadowed Zack Snyder was eye-opening. Not to say he couldn't have learned further in the role. Three of those films have impeccable critical acclaim. That combined with the fact that Affleck has starred or co-starred in multiple blockbusters makes the idea of him directing one of his own a no-brainer. Writing, directing, and starring all in the same one is another matter. Not surprising he doesn't want to do it all particularly given that he's also committed to direct and star in an adaptation of Agatha Christie's "Witness for the Prosecution" next year. Directing is the work that takes the most time commitment for a film, so freeing himself up makes sense. He may also be gun shy about directing a superhero film. He didn't see Daredevil and BvS being critical disasters, and he probably didn't see that happening for his recent Live by Night film, either, so he probably prefers to keep directing dramas for now since that's where he's had success so far. If these DC movies keep bombing I predict he'll drop out of Batman entirely before this film gets made. If the Justice League movie ends up being the disaster half of Hollywood is predicting it's hard to see him continuing the role. He's a well-known superhero fan, but I'm sure he'd much rather be a part of a universe that's being critically accepted like Marvel has done. No way he wants to keep being the post-Nolan Batman whipping boy for critics. I absolutely agree with this. In recent years Hollywood has had no problem elevating far less accomplished directors than Affleck to blockbusters immediately. And he has _far_ more experience actually in blockbusters than most of those directors (going back to Armageddon). Granted, some of these elevations have had disastrous results -- but by no means all: Gareth Edwards: Monsters --> Godzilla Jon Watts: Cop Car --> Spider-Man: Homecoming Marc Webb: 500 Days of Summer --> The Amazing Spider-Man Neil Blompkamp: District 9 --> Elysium Patty Jenkins: Monster --> Wonder Woman Scott Derrickson: Sinister --> Dr. Strange Rian Johnson: Looper ($30 million budget) --> Episode 8 The first five on that list each had one low-budget dramatic film to their name when they were given the keys to the kingdom. And none had anywhere close to the directing record of Affleck. and of course: Josh Trank: Chronicle --> Fantastic Four the one thing we need to remember is the amount of time and work he had to put into not just acting but directing the movie making sure everything else is running correctly. Ben is one of the only few people that act, write, and direct movies plus he probably doesn't feel comfortable taking such a big challenge and I wouldn't want him to.
  13. huge picture release today from the final fantasy 30th event in Japan.
  14. I have no problem with him stepping down from directing the Batman. when he was first announced has Batman and the word around the street was he could be directing it. I thought it would have been a huge task for him since it would have been his first $150+ million budget movie with so much on his plate. like other people have said it was a decision of seeing how much work it takes to Direct a big budget movie from seeing Zack Synder on both BvS & JL. now with the news that his not directing it but stilling writing & producing comes to me has good news he can focus for the next couple of days or weeks on finding a Director and finishing the -script.
  15. yeah loving the Netflix show plus it's from the creator of Avatar show. hope they have season 3 in the works already and we hear something later this year.
  16. I have to see more games before I consider picking one up. While I'm sure they're great, I need more then Zelda 24, Mario 52, and Mario Kart 458. Zelda looks to be a game-changer for the series, I think this is the first Mario game that is a true follow-up to galaxy. There was a Super Mario Galaxy 2 though.... I didn't feel it captured the magic of the first which I devoted a lot of time to. I haven't seen clips from the Zelda game. Does it look that legit? OoT is one of my top 3 all time. Edit: The Zelda does look cool, but I really didn't like Skyward Sword. I'll wait for reviews before a I jump in. They are making a Wii U version too. Check out the side-by-side comparison videos. There's a noticeable difference but I don't think the Switch version is really that much better. If the game ends up to be a must play I'd rather just pick up a cheap used Wii U and play it. Only other Switch game that would be a must play for me would be a new Metroid.

  18. i still do a couple of days during the week i play around with it.
