  1. Doesn't look like that many "Star Wars" collectors are using it. Is this site fairly new?
  2. Sad that this CGC forum applications file manager system isn't working. Would be nice to go back several years ago and look at when people posted scans of their great looking slabs. But since this file manager service is lacking in a few areas, we are forced to use external hosting sites like Photobucket.
  3. I think we even got a pic of Prowse holding it but Dan would have to say for sure. Do you have a pic of Peter Mayhew jacking up my book on purpose!? That sonofaB! I am still pissed about that. Are you talking about the book where he steam rolled over Hamill's sig? Yes sir! That was my book! Right here.. that F'n D-BAG! why would you write this? i can't think of a scenario where posting that publicly would be acceptable. Yes there is and I just did. Get over it. I have the right to say whatever I want about whomever I want whenever I want where ever I want. I live in the United States of America.
  4. Just got these back from CGC. These are books from PHXCC where it was my very first time walking anything through with CGC. The three sketches were from Tom Hodges. The only Star Wars actor there was Jeremy Bulloch so I just grabbed any books I had that I thought would be cool to get him to sign. Then Tom surprised me with a really cool Boba sketch so I ran back and got Jeremy to sign it before he left.
  5. Trust me my friend, I prepared these books to the 'T'! Dan even said they were perfect. I spent over an hour getting at the 10 or so I sent down in perfect shape for both the CAW and Dan. I used the advice that was posted here on how to cut the windows, use the blue painters tape, and add the extra board on top to protect the sigs while in transit between tables. There was no way I could have used a 'window' approach due to the number of sigs I was getting. Dan said I was collateral damage due to the book that went before mine.

  7. Just figured out after going back and reading these posts again, that my scanner has the issue of auto focus and will not work for CGC slabs. So DO NOT buy a Epson Artisan 810! I have a few $5k office scanners at my work so I am going to run there and see how they turn out. Debating on if I should purchase this if they don't scan well at my work: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FREE-SHIPPING-lower-48-HP-OfficeJet-7410-NICE-CLEAN-MFP-w-250-sheet-tray-/110952001081?pt=COMP_Printers&hash=item19d5412e39
  8. That is what's exactly happening to me now! I have an Epson Artisan 810 and no matter what I do, the scan for ONLY CGC slabs come out blurry. Going to have to buy another scanner now.
  9. Did you get all of these blanks graded prior to the sketch? Because everyone of mine came back as a 9.6 and Tom took them right out of box that was shipped to him at the show and they looked mint. Even after he finished them.

  11. Scanner still not working. I still have 10 out (3 of which are Tom Hodge Sketches) from PHXCC that I haven't received yet and 7 from SWC. Here are just a few more that I recently picked up from some boardies or online auctions:
  12. Man I am SO jealous! That is the book I have been trying to get completed! Maybe someday. These are the first two back and I have 7 more coming.
  13. Purchased this from a fellow boardie here a few months ago then sent it off to Star Wars Celebrations this August. Signed by: 1) Irvin Kershner - (The late great director of Empire Strikes Back) 2) Mark Hamill 3) Ian McDiarmid 4) Carrie Fisher 5) David Prowse 6) Anthony Daniels 7) Kenny Baker 8) Jeremy Bulloch 9) Peter Mayhew
  14. Just got these back from CGC today. Except the SW Tales ones. Picked that one up on ebay for a decent price.
  15. VERY COOL! I just saw one on here where JJ has the director who signed it before he passed away. Nice job! http://www.cgccomics.com/gallery/details.aspx?comic=2957
  16. WOW! Nice work man! I love it! I just sent off a high grade rare Star Trek Gold Key #1 variant (photo back cover) that I got William Shatner to sign and wanted to submit that book here when I get it. However, I see a few folks on ebay already have that one.
  17. That is a SWEET book my friend! But I don't think it would past YOUR sniff test, based on your standards. SO... feel free to send it my way, and I will be glad to take care of it.
  18. I can't tell you how much this post saved me SO much frustration while @ the PHXCC for my very first con. I followed these directions exactly. All the CGC guys there were very impressed by the way in which my books were prepared. All the actors / artists were VERY impressed as well. Some even made mention, like William Shatner did to me, that I must do this a lot as these are very professionaly done books. The ONLY issue I had with the flap was that i closed it to quickly after I had a signature and the marker bled on the backside and smeared the signature on the comic a tiny bit. But regardless, it simply made the entire process easier especially if you have multiple sigs to get. i should find out any day what the grades were for what all 12 books I got signed. Non of them were previously graded ones so no cracking of slabs were involved. I'm currently preparing 4 CGC books all 9.8 or 9.6 to be cracked and singed @ SDCC next week via Desert Wind Coimics and then 12 more CGC to get cracked @ SW Celebrations all over a 9.4
  19. I just checked the 'OfficialPix' website (http://www.officialpix.com/) and it shows that BOTH Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will be there signing autographs, yet I've seen no mention of that here. Is anyone going to SDCC who would be willing to help me get Mark and Carrie's sig on a few comics?
  20. These are some of my favorite books that I have in my collection. I am looking on growing it so if you have any Star Wars CGC SS books signed by any of the main characters in the movies, PM me please. I have 10 more that are still out to CGC for grading so I will post those images when they send them.
  21. Trust me, as soon as CGC scans them after they are graded, they will be going up.
  22. Well, my first comicon CGC SS experience is now complete here in Phoenix! I have to give 100% of the credit to our fellow board member tjanse and CGC employee Andrew for making it all possible. I had no idea what to expect as I want to accomplish so much in just the first day alone. I lost my voice on Friday and both tjanse and Andrew were extremely patient with me. (Thanks Wife for the cold!) I started the event by bringing a total of 8 comics I wanted to get signed. 6 Star Wars for Jeremy Bulloch, 1 comic for 5 Star Trek NG cast members and one rare Star Trek Gold Key photo variant for William Shatner. I also got 3 amazing Star Wars sketches done by Tom Hodges, one of them being a bad Boba Fett sketch that I had both Tom and Jeremy sign that will be slabbed. All of that minus Shatner's and Wil Wheaton's signature completed in ONE DAY! This board is amazing and most importantly are the members like tjanse who help noobs like me out. Thanks again guys! -Roanry
