  1. Except that isn't what happened, you PMd "If you decide you want for $675 let me know. I would have to charge $25 to ship it registered mail so I can insure and track it all the way to you."
  2. It's ok to have your opinion but, factually, it's completely outside the bounds of accepted business practices and established law. But most sellers aren't lawyers. I knew you would chime in with contract law. Once again, I am not going to debate you. This is a comic forum with first time sellers or sellers with little experience. These behind the door transactions need two communication. Once that stops the transaction stops. That is just common sense. It's standard business practice. There's no market in the world that expects everyone to stand there nodding their acceptance back and forth repeatedly, like a pair of bobbleheads as they exchange money for goods. I reject the notion that this is some sort of "short bus" version of real commerce. We are all adults. We offer, we accept, we pay, we ship. There aren't special rules just for this place. You want to do business? You do it the right way or you don't do it at all. What you are proposing is a perpetual motion machine of people bowing before each other like Gaijinn businessmen on their first trip to Tokyo. Face to face transaction: Seller - Yeah I'll sell it for x. Buyer - I guess I will take it then. Seller not liking the reply, states you know what it isn't for sale anymore. This doesn't happen ever? I see this happen at garage sales, LCSs and in small privately owned stores all the time. The seller has the final word to accept or reject, they own the item. Does it make it right, no. Excellent POINT!
  3. If someone lists something for sale in standard board selling forum and someone says I will take it That is pretty clear cut and documented If someone approaches you and ask will you take this and you say that is probably the lowest I will go and then never respond the deal was never finalized
  4. If you ever run a business, please consult an attorney before using this opinion, or it will cost you extremely large amounts of money to find out that the rest of the world, business and the law stand 100% on the other side of the issue from you. Where is this written? I actually have run very successful businesses

One person might feel one way while the other person perceives it another
  6. Everyone is so Judist around here and prosecutes someone without knowing all the facts and history. Now I know why Mike Vick went through so much and took so long to regain his name even though we should give 2nd chances and not burn people at the stake! I have never seen so many folks who think they are Judge Dredd in one place!
  7. Its a matter of opinion. I think it is offer / accept / handshake - agree (confirmation) If there is no virtual handshake how can the offer be considered a deal?
  8. I completely agree. I've been reading the comic for almost five years now. I started collecting the "back issues" after I was reading it for about two years, and I almost made a complete run. I'm only missing 1 - 4, but I stopped just before prices went up excessively. It sucks that I don't have them - but I'm not paying more than my perception of their value for them. I started buying original art from the series because I didn't want to fork over the money for the first four issue. Unfortunately the "saving money" part didn't really pan out on that. I think when prices on raw issue 1's comes down around $500 I'll buy one. A decent copy will never, ever go down to $500 again. Totally Agree. Walking dead is a revolution and not going anywhere anytime soon
  9. I strongly disagree. The current WD back issues market is all speculators and investors - it's not driven by casual collectors, new readers, or people who were introduced to the comic book through the TV show because none of those people would be willing to pay, say, $2,000 for a WD #1 in 9.8 when they can grab a TPB collection for $15 instead. Imho, what we're currently seeing is an almost perfect storm - it's investors selling to speculators selling back to investors because anyone but the most rabid collector is completely priced out of the back issues market by now. I'm not complaining about this - I, just like so many others on this board, have made a boat-load of money off WD ever since the prices started sky-rocketing - but, on the other hand, I think it's silly to think that this book has nowhere to go but up. At some point this bubble is going to burst - it's just a matter of time. +1 Disagree -1
  10. I don't have time to help Police the boards, I can't believe how many of you worry about these so called rules. We are all in this together for a common purpose. The hobby of comic collecting!
  11. I know there is someone on the boards that does pressing. Do they do cleaning as well? I was gonna submit a few Copper Marvel Keys with my next walking dead batch. (Obviously under different tiers) But was hoping someone had a good recomendation. Thanks!
  12. Yeah, still sad about TWD homage but #222 has a chase cover that Todd McFarlane announced on his face book page that they only made 400 of. I just verified that. I wonder if there is more to come? Would be cool if Image did this more.
  13. Whats up with Spawn 222 Variant? The prices are just going crazy!
  14. You all are the ones that brought this topic back up again, my peace was said
  15. Well yeah he ordered them for me but thats not what I ordered. I ordered the spawn of the dead cover x25 so I could get the sketch cover as well. The cover change was not my fault so why should the consumer have to buy something they did not ordered? What is your deal?
  16. I bought it not on speculation I bought 25 so I could get the sketch cover and I bought it because it was the walking dead cover homage. How is that my fault?
  17. WTF? I ordered 25 of these from Gator because of the walking dead cover? So is it gonna be 223 instead? I don't want this book that is for sure!
  18. Yes, If you are seeing double in the picture below you will need to up your meds. If the dog comes with the 9.9, I may finally be able to convince my wife to let me spend $ on a comic DITTO, My wife would let me buy them all!
  19. Anyone else end up getting walking Dead skybound box sets? Finally got my 2nd one today and I believe this is one I am keeing! I was so surprised that in the bottom of the box was a 10th comic (Walking Dead Escape Raw 9.8+ candidate! I have been struggling to find a nice one so I was happy needless to say! My other box set did not have the escape variant and I had already sold the set anyways. I wonder if this was a mistake or the randomly inserted these Anyone else know?
