  1. Glad to hear it +1 Just gave 1-5 to a friend. Spread the Revival word!
  2. I completely and totally disagree on a couple of levels. As someone who supports Saga, I want the book to continue and the best way for that to happen is for as many people as possible to pay for the book. If that means that they are buying it via trade, comixology, etc., whatever. Brian and Fiona will keep writing and drawing the book as long as they continue to make a living off of it. The longer the run is, the better it is for the value of what you own. Also, trades create more customers for the books. Think about the Walking Dead. Even before the show or rumors of the show, a lot of people jumped on board the title because they picked up the trades and loved them. This created demand for early keys... before the show. This can and may make the Saga books that you own more collectable. In sum, more readers = more value for your earlier issues, in my opinion. Reprints and trades help create more readers. +1 I love Saga and I had a friend ask me about a month ago (or just when #7 came out) what I would recommend adding to his pull list (I had already got him on the Revival and Bedlam wagon). I said.... SAGA! He went out and bought the trade + issue seven and is hooked.
  3. Yeah... I ordered 8 but my guy said some were damaged and could only do five. It's all good. I'm mainly using these as giveaways to friends or if someone stops by and is like, "what's good in the comic realm?" I can just throw down an Image First.
  4. Got 5 copies coming in the mail (what's wrong with us -
  5. What the heck.... I was waiting on the SIXTH print on #1 (joke). Nah, this is fine by me. A lot of us order 2nd, 3rd, 4th prints and this will save us some $$$. I to agree this won't really change things much. It may make retailers order more of the initial prints (we'll see). Ryan
  6. Sure - what did you think of issue #2? I love how they start out with something suttle and then go to something extreme (barn scene). Then they have the opening page with the title. And after that mini section the rest of the comic begins. Lastly, the book comes full circle at the end. No hype here. I really like this title and hope I continues to do well.
  7. Love that 2nd print cover (and I dig the #1 2nd print cover too). Still haven't read #2 (been busy), but will read it this weekend.
  8. You don't think the buyer might have thought they were first prints?? Although, the weekly a have been rising of late.
  9. I shopped around and think this is the best deal (for me anyway). I ordered 200 B&B and thought the price was great (priority shipping as well). Check him out... http://www.ebay.com/sch/mhetzler/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=50&_trksid=p3984.m1543.l2654 Ryan
  10. Haven't seen them anywhere yet... ?
  11. sweet thanks What issue is that from?? I don't remember that in the books (but after a thousand pages in each compendium it might have missed it.
  12. Maybe they can't 'smell' anything while in the water (a theory)?
  13. Wasn't comparing it to the walking dead. Was comparing it to #1 issues, of which I'm still digging TWD more. No biggy. Ryan
  14. Sending PM (I don't think it's a boardie). By the way, I did offer to exchange the book for another one (9.8 graded) and she never responded to that offer.
  15. True. And out of over 100 recent tranactions, this was the only 'problem' one. I think this correlates well to life. About 1% of the people out there you just can't please for no reason. I think the quote "you did nothing wrong" just rubbed me the wrong way. I did nothing wrong yet your going to cost me some money. Ryan
  16. Middle column, second link. ;-) http://pages.ebay.com/sitemap.html And, you are absolutely correct. There is no protection for sellers, and if buyers want to be deceptive and fraudulent, then eBay will allow them to do so. Might as well just agree to accept returns as, when it comes right down to it, there really is no other option. eBay will never support a seller. Thank you for the link. (thumbs u I guess I'll just go full returns available from now on. As was mentioned, there is no point b/c the buyer always wins. Ryan
  17. damn this is crazy. Wow. I sell on eBay as well and I had a person try to return a CGC graded book. She emailed me and said this... "Hello, thanks for shipping the comic quickly. Sadly i will be returning the book, While a very nice looking copy I find a few scuffs and other small issues with the book. I tend to be a tough grader so I assure you that you did nothing wrong. i would rather go through you to get a refund rather than put a claim in because i don't want to affect you negatively at all. I will mail the package back to you with tracking tomorrow and await your refund." I said I don't take returns on graded books (cost time and money lost). I figured this is just a BS case of "buyers remorse" and since she said I did nothing wrong (and I have it in writing) that I am okay. WRONG. I called eBay after she said this... "Well i feel as if i should be able to return it. I am sending it out today with tracking and insurance and expect a full refund! i will provide you the info this afternoon" Once again, I don't accept graded book returns (you know what you are getting). Yeah, she opened a "item not as described case", eBay is siding with her and said she can leave me negative feedback if I don't take the return, so now I'm between a rock and hard place. Oh well. I don't even think you can block buyers from bidding in the future. No seller protection. Why even say "NO RETURNS" on eBay if you can't enforce it? I will start requiring signature on large sales though (lesson learned from the story). Ryan
  18. I think this book has great long-term potential. I just hope the writing team keep it going in a good direction. Issue #1 was awesome! One of the best #1 I have read in a while. In fact, I'll go ahead and say that it was my favorite #1 from 2012 (along with Think Tank). I liked it better than: Revival #1 Peter Panzerfaust #1 Manhattan Projects #1 Thief of Thieves #1 Saga #1 Clone #1 Walking Dead #1??? Well, I dig me some WD, but you get the point. We'll see what happens my friend! (thumbs u
  19. You could be off on this... revisit in 4-6 months (then again, I could be off). The content of the book is quality. Ryan
