  1. I did not know where to put this but I figured this may be a good place because they are popular moderns but can someone point me in the direction perhaps of where I can find a decent list of the Spawn homage covers? Maybe some print run info if avail, or pics of all the covers themselves. Heck sales data is appreciated as well. I have hummed and hawed for far too long about collecting them I literally have to put myself out of my own misery and start the hunt. Just need a gentle push towards some info. Thanks!
  2. "The price of a comic reflects the significance of the event that takes place in the issue" I'm not sure that's necessarily correct, but hey, cool they are talking about comics one way or another!
  3. I came to post the same thing!!!! My local shop got a ton of copies and ALL the covers had the same problems as yours! I'm shocked to be honest. So I guess this was a production thing???
  4. I've never seen this before.... pretty cool cover!
  5. Maybe it's like soccer where they have a new "kit" each season as, basically, a cash grab. Maybe Superman just wanted to sell merch?
  6. Crazy eh! The next one will appear on Feebay and sell for $2gs or something and I'll get 5 PMs
  7. Just moved into a new place so the old one is no more and I'm working on a new room... anyways here's the old one:
  8. I dont have a group pic but something like 17-18 of Tales of the Teen Titans #44
  9. That many now huh? Wow. I've chatted with some big Spawn collectors and the homage covers seem to be uber popular. From what I gather, a good chunk of them sell between that $70-125 price range which is the sweet spot for collecting variant covers I think. There are some cheaper ones as well making them a nice chase. I've hummed and hawed with the idea in a number of occasions - I just haven't lucked into a good stack yet that would likely sway my decision instead of starting from ground zero.
  10. I've noticed as well. Lots of popular variant covers and frankly, I am thinking of picking up all the homage covers myself for my own collection Spawn #66 was the first comic I bought that essentially propelled me into this comic maniac I have become. Hes always been a "fav" character of mine.
  11. Haha that's awesome. Maybe they were hoping to hit one of the hoarders.... that buy a dozen at once. Having said that, not only did it backfire but probably has some lasting effects on the book considering everyone now sees they went unsold. Doesnt bode well for the next few that appear imo.
  12. After a quite couple weeks had a nice start to September:
  13. My immediate thought in that range is a 5.0 Fantastic Four #5. A few others: very low grade Hulk #1, JIM 83, Daredevil 8.0 (this book has ballooned a bit and frankly I think it's still very undervalued comparatively speaking), Xmen 1 3.0/3.5... I think at the end of the day its sticking with the "big blue chip books"
  14. What's the deal with Spawn #310? Seen a lot of people talking about it. My understanding is that it is the first cover app of Ninja Spawn (who debuted backed in #297 or something). I believe there are 4 covers and the Ninja Spawn is one of the variants... along with a B&W one. Did I get this right?
  15. Surprisingly I dont really own many comic tees..... a Joker one and a Spidey one. I do, however, own a ton of band tee shirts. Several Tool, Deftones, Underoath, Slipknot, Korn, Nirvana, the Devil Wears Prada, Glassjaw... prob half my wardrobe are band tees!
  16. Grabbed the Punisher Sideshow Premium Format yesterday...
  17. Took a quick snap of my omnibus collection. My local shop has 2-3 others I've been meaning to pick up.
  18. Yeah, the magazine was fun. Esp in the early days. The "top 10 artists/writers" and the movie casting calls... the battles between 2 popular characters... even the letters page was witty. I used to comb through it for hours and frankly, I did learn a lot about comics/characters from it and discovered a ton of new books I probably wouldnt have. I wish they did a quarterly one even nowadays.
