These are quite common...they were included with an issue of Wizard magazine, which was a wildly popular comic book publication for a time.

I have yet to see anyone successfully sell for any appreciable markup.

If you get an Uncanny X-Men 293 Gold on the other hand...

Man do I ever miss Wizard

Probably mostly for nostalgic reasons but that was a fun time in the hobby for me.

Wow, after your post I went and looked around, and it looks like it came and sold out in minutes at IST and the other usual sources. Dang! Looks like the only option is to pay nearly retail price for it at Amazon when it hits next week. That stinks. It's crazy how inconsistent distribution has been in the post-COVID world. Several volumes have come and gone in a flash, yet there are others that continue to be easy to find. The problem seems to just be with Marvel, as most DC releases from the last couple of months continue to be easy to find.

Oh well, I guess $90 is better than $200-$300 it could hit once it sells out, better place my Amazon preorder!

    Dang!

Looks like I missed it!  I even said I need to go preorder it.

I have to check the local haunts tomorrow and see if they got one in.

  3. Not to resurrect an old thread (I guess that's exactly what I'm doing here) but I started my own IG comic account and have really enjoyed it to be honest.  It's most certainly a tight knit community but having said that, it's a pretty large group!  There are tons of great books constantly being shown/sold.

One thing I have noticed is that it's much more "modern" oriented.  While Gold/Silver and Bronze age to an extent are showcased, they seem to be in the minority.  A lot more Modern and Copper type of stuff.  Still... it's been a cool platform to discover and has actually allowed me to enjoy my collection more via posting pics, etc.

    Follow me! (Shameless plug)

  4. I dont have as long a tenure as you (only about 8 yrs) but I certainly see the change as well.  Still... every now and again we get one of these fun threads filled with banter and great books (Dale Roberts Christmas sales every yr, octobers big sales threads, and this one).

Many thanks for the stack of books this time around Roy.  Looking forward to the next one.
