another Crain...dammit i need one so bad

That's a nice cover - it's refreshing to see one that diverges from the big Madder Red/FP overlays.

I couldn't help myself. Anyone's on here? If so thank you (thumbs u

Probably my least favorite of the variant covers, but the nostalgia factor in these homage covers is still high so it's nice to see.

Good eye! Yeah, his work just gets better and better. His covers for Valiant have been really fantastic, too.
I think RH&TO #17 was a fantastic cover, homage or not - the OA actually looks better than the published version.

True, true. No one had called this one out yet AND unlike the phantoms, not sure if this was an intentional tribute cover (phantom 2, 3, 4 are tributes).
We asked for "Homages."
A tip of the hat to the original artists.
Not a swipe at all Larry (you know I dig)... just didn't know if it was intentional or not. I knew the phantoms were, but this is a 2nd print. I have to say, Bedlam cover are awesome
#1 2nd print - amazing
#2 2nd print - amazing
#3 2nd print - amazing
I'm sure we've talked about this, but I like the 2nd's better than the 1st prints.
IN FACT: putting together a 1st prints run, 2nd print run, and phantom run.
Basically comes down to what jj said earlier, Frazer Irving

Couple of books from Baltimore...

So Before Bedlam dropped I hit Riley and asked him to a unique commission ... took him a few months and a month of waiting in the mail but here it is....
Great piece, thanks for sharing

This is now becoming a very good chance to be one of the best graphic novels of 2013.
Get 'The First' right and goodness - this will be bloody awesome.
And the best thing?
This could never, ever be a TV series - it's just too 'wrong' - but as a GN, it's just so right!
Love this book.
I love Bedlam as much as the next guy (purely as a reader), but this is one reason this thread is absolute comedy gold. Only on the Modern forums can a title go from more or less dead in terms of activity to "best graphic novel of 2013" inside 1 issue (for a total of 3). I understand a lot of people are involved financially to some level, but it's getting a little ludicrous at this point.
I enjoyed #3 too, but I am not sure hyperbole would adequately cover this...
-
Classy move by ABC as always, the creators are certainly handling it well given the circumstances.
-
Yep, enjoyed #3 quite a bit more than #2 -- solid issue. Nothing spectacular art-wise but the writing was great.

A piece I commissioned late last year that I just got back from Clayton Crain. Despite being an artist who works almost exclusively in digital (and he does some amazing stuff), his paintings are a big favorite of mine. I've had a few on sketch covers, but this piece on stretched canvas is amazing in-hand.

Awesome page Pete, definitely the best one from the issue. (thumbs u

American Vampire #34 Covers (#34 Cover & Unused Cover for #34 which will be in TPB #5)

This thread is mostly about everything but Bedlam, which is pretty amusing (I agree with you).

ugh "Chad"
Legal name changes are always an option! (thumbs u

I hate the fact that people are talking about a book being dead, simply because it's not selling as well, or for as much as they would hope.
This book is not dead at all. It has 2 issues that I, and many others have enjoyed, and I for one can't wait for issue 3. Not everything is about money
If you only care about this book, in terms of speculation, then you may very well be at a bust, but there are 3 issues being released in less than 2 months so lets see where things are when that's all been said and done.
I really pity how the modern forum has been a primarily about speculation and nothing else.
Its going to become a niche book that will appeal to certain fans. I tried to like it because I like almost all Spencer's done so far, but between the content and the art it just wasnt for me. Maybe the first trade will pull interest back in and develop a strong following. I compare it to that book JJ liked awhile back Severed.

Is this a Walking Dead forum or a girls locker room?
The latter is a pre-req for the former right?

Never a dull moment...

Hmm I should re-read the Bedlam thread too when I'm bored...
-
Use CGC Magazine boxes and they do (I also use those Mylite 2s for my nicer titles and sketch covers, they show off the slab a lot better than anything else). Everything else goes in a different cover and fits in a standard CGC box.

Bedlam

Great issue, after reading the last 2 issues just feel like this arc would read really well in trade format (which is a good thing).
