I'm gonna call shenanigans on that purchase.

I posted in the other thread, but apparently Bedlam is now cool enough to be used by search manipulators on eBay in their listings.
-
I posted some cool sketches and remarks in the Modern Sales Forum (you don't have to buy, trust me, but I thought you guys might like to at the very least see some!)
Now to finally sit down and read #4!!!
JJ
Woops, didn't see this post over here - Mike pulled off some great sketches. I'm sure a collector will jump all over those.

Dang, that's a lot of water - hope everyone affected is well.

It's easier after you lose that OCD compulsion bug (easier said than done). I quickly realized it was more enjoyable to me to just cherry pick the covers I like (not specific to Bedlam, but in general) than try to get everything as that "everything" just keeps getting to ridiculous levels when you talk about Modern comics.

Also, for those that are interested in Revival OA.
Paolo just posted some new pieces.
Including the covers to Larry's 3rd variant and issue #7.
Where? What website?

Paolo is a great guy to deal with.

I went back and re-read it and yeah - I suppose it could go both ways there. Initially I figured he was just shopping around for a number, but you're right - could be for him.
All I can say is, now is an interesting time to put together a set like that!
-
Probably still applies for the most part, but I think he's selling - not buying
-
I'm going to snag one more to hold onto for a potential sketch op since that blank back cover would be perfect...
Same here, picked 2 up - 1 for potential sketches. Of course not having to pay $15 aided that decision

Graham Crackers has them, just ordered some.
+1 Thanks for letting a variety of shops do this Larry. Graham Crackers is in my backyard.

Wonder if they can get these pre witnessed like the Walking Dead.
Yeah... that didn't work out so well last time, I'd be surprised if we saw that again.

Finally updated my CAF and added some new Tony Moore OA (sorry only one piece is WD related)
Just wanted to share
I'm (almost) out of WD stuff so I don't read this thread as much anymore, but that #21 commission is just a great concept - be sure to post the framed version as an additional image, I'm sure it will look stunning.
-
would have liked to see this title at $2.99 instead of $3.50
Yep, agreed.
-
With it being thrown up on Bleeding Cool I am sure there will be more speculation to be had before release (not that it needed any more)
-
Fortunate to have gotten this, modern book, but old school spirit (Thanks Illustrious).
-
yeah, i like the CBLDF cover...not sure i care for the way the Third Eye turned out though.
Very nice.

Interesting last few pages - not sure what services that guy (jjeanius) was offering but if he was and had any customers or potential customers reading this thread, all he did was probably lose a few.
So Bedlam... I hear it's supposed to be good?

I think you can just chalk it up to a human doing them. I haven't seen a copy without that subtext (including the 2 copies I've had in my possession), but I'm sure it's possible given other labeling mishaps).

Bedlam
in Modern Age Comic Books

I think the thread of conversation was more shenanigans related to over-eager buyers going nuts. I think Solar summed it up pretty well - couple more of these and then when everyone gets books back from CGC there will be a steady supply (within reason) and prices should stabilize.
