  1. Do "they" host back-episodes on amc.com, or somewhere where I can watch last nights episode for free?

outside of torrents or on demand with the cable systems, there are no other free ways online. they keep pushing that they are available on itunes, so they are obviously trying to make people pay to see them online :tonofbricks:

I don't trust torrents, I'm always worried that my computer will become infected with viruses from them.

But, On Demand may be the solution. I have that through my cable company. I never use it though, so I forgot to think of it.

I'll have to check that out once they turn my service back on/re-program my set-top box/whatever they have to do.

Hopefully that will happen today and I won't have to do any more arguing with cable product vendor people, or bashing things around the house out of frustration.

  2. I just about got through the first two issues - afraid to say I found it fairly dull and clichéd.

And I generally like BKV's work.

I would also suggest reading a few more issues. It didn't really fully grab hold of my interest until issues 3 and 4, and despite some excess swearing, and a few panels with nekkid people "doing it" (ehrmmehgerd), now it's my favorite read. If it's still not doing it for you, you can just sell me your first few poorly-done issues at a steep discount! =)

  3. Hey guys, I missed the show last night.

When/ where will be the earliest that I be able to watch a repeat of last nights episode?

Why did I miss the show? I called verizon last week to have my fios tv and i-net services transferred to my other place. They said "No problem" , and scheduled for this transfer to occur a week later.

A few hours after the initial call, and lo' and behold, look who has no internet and no tv service anymore.

Let me tell you, it took a friggin' concerted effort consisting of a number of heated telephone discussions across the span of three days just to get them to reactivate it here at my original location. I also need a new metal filing cabinet, because I stoved mine in with my foot and a clothes iron during one of the phone calls. I also need a new iron, too. And hopefully my toe nail will be OK and my toe won't get infected and require removal. =)

  4. Maybe AMC should be more worried about their programs not being offered on Verizons analogue cable and/or FIOS networks anymore. I'd be surprised if that happens, but is anyone else afraid that it will? I don't know too much about it, besides that I to deal with an annoying crawl every 10 minutes suggesting that this may happen while watching "The Dead" last week.

  5.

I remember seeing these when they came out, and at the time thinking that I should get one, but did not because of how bad the cover art looked, and that no one was going to want it that badly. Obviously I should have gotten one and just sold it. Do people think it looks that cool or what is with that issue?

  6.

Yea I'm sorry but that one bidder who has 0 history doing all the bidding smells like a shill to me....

Yep I would say so...but interestingly enough, the guy who got it jumped in at a grand unless I am reading it wrong......I was expecting that auction to run out of gas at around $575.00, unless monkey-business. I don't really know any of the gpa stats though.

  7. It's irritating how I get different auction search results from a computer on ebay vs. my ipod when I use ebay search app. (I found some more 50-60 dollar cgc 9.8 revivals that ended in between those two that went for over 70 =O )

I see that ASM 692 varniant covers are actually making a little money right now. I'm surprised because I actually bought those.

  8. Let's try again.

got Batman Adventures 12 in a 9.0-9.2 ish range, raw, for 99 cents. They have been doing strong this summer.

Ok, so who has cashed out from a modern that's heating up on ebay?

Something modern, ebay, comics, hot, talk about it.

A revival i was watching to see, closed out @ $70 for CGC 9.8. That's a good sign for it, if it can hold the line there. With no real rumors to support it in the speculators market, not making lower highs is key to setting a floor.

I hope that the book keeps on rolling!

ebay Comic charts would be sweet, my search says that beyond the first few gotta have it sales, the one cgc 9.8 before it went for 5 more total out of pocket,

but even so, a couple of 70's is a nice jump from the 60s and under before those,

and probably a good spot to watch for sentiment.

The variants seem to still have some good average value as well.

We will see what happens with prices and if/when it gets any extra hype, but it's a good read at cover nonetheless.

I screwed up the quotes, but was trying to tell the other guy, nice score on that Batman!

  9. I don't know if it's heating up. But I have really liked the new Hawkeye.

Great covers and interior art with good story telling.

But......Hawkeye really hasn't had a lot of geek appeal.

Plus, you should only give out tips after you've cashed out.

  10. In reference to him seeing copies of one and two, and seeing the 18k print run for #1, I was guesstimating that there are 30k plus of one and two combined at least, which is starting to sound like a lot to me. Even still, if condition was not too bad, I would probably still buy another one of each of them right now at cover anyway if I had the chance, but I don't know that I would be shocked about it.

  11.

can i have tonights winning lottery numbers?

Heh, well, I kept a double run going until the end of the first arc, and I think that it would be a better move, if you are still buying them, to spend on more of the first few issues vs. keeping multiple runs going.

I hope that the TV show is better than the comic, which I don't need a crystal ball to tell you, kinda sucks at this point! =)
