Got my red foil today, immediately up on ebay. I don't know why I buy stuff like this I'm never pleased when I get it....the make offer option is enabled so if any boardies want it lower than others priced just mention the CGC boards and I'll make you a deal.
Why not pleased? I'm thinking about selling mine because the wife keeps spending $ on clothes and I can't afford to support both of our reckless spending,

"We have decided to cease second printings of single issues of titles that are known over-performers in hopes that it will help initial sales find their proper level. That’s marketing-speak for “You know this sells, so you’d better make sure you order enough!”
We'll see how this goes.
So Saga, Revival, Walking Dead, Bedlam? What else have they been going back to multiple printings on?

me too. you'd think id be happy about it, but im not
It just makes my life easier because my LCS doesn't order second prints so I'm forced to buy all of them from Midtown

That one is fantastic.
The Rossmo is posted earlier in this thread.
Yeah, the picture never loaded for me. I've been told it's better I didn't see it,

Riley Rossmo's The Walking Dead #100 Hero Initiative cover
I'd donate $100 to the Hero Initiative and tell them to shred this thing.
Jim
I can't see the pic.

I voted Revival just cause I really didn't look at the other choices when I first voted. When I get home I'll vote for Saga to even it out.
-
Also this is a tough choice for voting saga and revival are my 2 current favorites.
I tried voting for both but it wouldn't let me.

Guess who may show up in Issue #5s letters column...
#5 or #6? Cause #5 is out already. Are you in there?
RoastedBagel is going to be angry. He wrote in and wants to be published,

It's not in the Walking Dead Comics. It's in the CBLDF Presents: Liberty Annual 2012
I wonder if that was written specifically for the show
I believe it was. The release of the CBLDF 2012 Annual was the week right before or after his appearance on the TV show.
There were three covers for the book and I think all of them sold out in stores. There is a second print coming at some point if it hasn't already.
Midtown still has 2 of the 3 in stock.
I'll just wait till they release a Governor special edition like they did with the Michonne playboy story.

Wow this guy must have need money or something because damn did he sell it cheap with BIN.

I don't think it hit $100 until the TV show was announced.
It hit $100 far before the TV show was ever announced. Here's a fun thread from 2006:
Oh to have a time machine to go back and be the only bidder on a #1 for $80.
Paging Dr. Emmitt Brown.

I work in investments. It used to be that 10% a year was phenomenal. Now everyone wants to double their money overnight.
How long did it take Walking Dead to get over $100 for a raw #1? I'm honestly asking since I wasn't collecting back then.

I don't know about collectibility over long term.
The pencil covers are priced 2.5x higher for her art so perhaps she views them as originals.
Any Revival cover is a good deal especially since no physical original art is produced for the interiors.
If the series takes off, I can't imagine what the covers will begin to be sold for through Cadence.
(see current Walking Dead covers / pages for examples)
+1
Not sure why the pencils are more expensive. Maybe a good question to ask Paolo at Cadence. Maybe it's more time consuming to do the pencil version?
It also seems like the pencil version is first one done. If you look on the Cadence site, you can tell subtle differences between pencil and graphite. Looks like the pencil is done, then graphite is done to add touches (#2 cover the cross in the hand changes, #5 the arm bone is added)

+1 Cool page.

Looks good except for some corner blunting. The packaging was good, so wasn't from shipping damage.
Maybe a print run issue or skybound being mad at me for my comments I made on their site,

The reason why the graphite versions are all gone.
I was lucky enough to get the graphite cover to #1 before the comic came out and to keep my OA collection consistent I bought each one I could afford.
The plan was to only get the covers for the first trade, but the cover for #6 was too good to pass up.
So, I own #1 - #6 plus the graphite version for Larry's 2nd or 12 variants.
(the literal and figurative sister image to #1)
Hope you can track down that pencil #1. I'd love to see a triple framed.
-
Seems like the graphite versions have been more popular, I saw a few penciled versions still available a few days ago... Must be interesting decision-wise for Revival collectors.
I originally wanted both verisions, but someone swooped up all the graphite ones.
The pencil ones when viewing on the website just don't 'pop' like the graphite ones IMO. Until I actually saw mine in hand, I was questioning my purchase but once I had it, I loved it.
