FU too! Was it the bananas that did it? Feeling regular, I mean? No, it was the custom title. I like mine also. Pugnacious Combative in nature; belligerent. See Synonyms at belligerent.

My experience was very similiar to Conjob here. I had gotten most my Vertigo comics bought and was thinking about encapsulation. Checked out the site and the rest is history. Why do you keep calling him Conjob? it's a Constantine thing, you wouldn't understand it. Thanks for the informative reply. just like a friggin lawyer. someone else has to do discovery for him Thanks for letting them know Sal. I was out getting some OTC meds to help with a nagging sinus headache. Oldguy looks almost exactly like John Constantine in Hellblazer. Drop him in a trench coat and a tie with a Guiness stain and he is right there. A while back I took one of those "If You Were A Comic Book Character Who Would You Be?" tests someone posted a link to on the forum. Guess who I was?

I was wondering why all these "CGC" comics were selling for multiples of their raw counterparts so I searched google, found the main CGC page and came to the forum. Four years later I'm still trying to figure out why CGC books sell for multiples of their raw counterparts.

The original MARVEL COMICS Silver Age STAMPS Artwork
OldGuy replied to Mister Trent's topic in Original Comic Art
Thank God. Don't worry, he hasn't gone far. -
As a kid it would have to be X-Men Graphic Novel #5. That's the one that sticks in my mind.

What's the most ridiculous thing you have ever seen graded?

Back boards - shiny side or dull side? THE MYSTERY REVEALED!
OldGuy replied to FFB's topic in Comics General
Thanks for the test, but I never understood why it was even in doubt. After all, why in the world would standard backing board manufacturers spend MORE to treat one side of the board, if you weren't actually *supposed* to use it? That's the reason I've always used the shiny side. -
Don't know why I didn't post this sooner.

I cannot understand how you got each comic back to its correct hue, and so sharp and clear. The original looked dark and fuzzy, and the reds looked almost maroon. I was unhappy with the shots till now. That's why we pay Red the big bucks.

No but I will. I still hope someone can send me by e-mail the three pics at under 150k each. Someone tried, but they were 250 each. Thanks, got em. Great pics!

fussy, fussy I'm not complaining, but would like to see the pics. You going to step up and e-mail them?
-
Can someone please host the pics on a private ftp server or e-mail them to me (brrempel@gmail.com) so I can view them from work?

You go Nero.

I disagree. Money helps, but it's not the only requirement. So then what title do you think us unobtainable, even with a limitless wallet? You said "hard" to complete, that's what I was responding to, not "unobtainable". Okay, what title do you think would be "hard" to obtain? Have you not read about some of the titles that were hard for Ian to obtain? Many of the books he was looking for were not pricey books, but he still had a hard time finding them. If you haven't read his posts about these hard to find titles then you'll have to dig them up yourself, I'm to lazy and I've already read them. It took me almost as year to get Fast Willie Jackson 1-7 and money wasn't an issue with those. Granted, I could have bought some from Mile High, but I just can't get myself to give Chuck my money. So you just answered your own question. You could have bought them, but money was an issue. From what I remember Ian has trouble with the giveaways. He could have finished his NA run, but money was a factor. I seriously doubt that any title would be hard to collect given enough money. I really am fine with disagreeing with you DL. Here I was trying to be civil with you OG, I just want to understand why you feel a certain title would be difficult to get. We're not being civil now? Sure I could. Heck, I managed to do it for a little less then $100. It took almost a year, but I got it. It didn't take money, it took a lot of looking.

With enough money, no set is hard to complete. I disagree. Money helps, but it's not the only requirement.

I'm amazed and I don't even like 98% of what DC publishes.

But she's not actually likely to invite you round to see them, is she? Why? Is she a stuck up [embarrasing lack of self control]? No, but would you open your door to your own personal stalker? Sure, just long enough to put two in the chest and one in the head. What I wouldn't do is post as a shill on a comic book message board like some some .

That's going above and beyond the call. Props.
