So I did take the advice given here by Yorick. I thought I would update with the end result. The rear plastic rivet/welds were the only thing holding the car together. Unfortunately, drilling holes from the top and bottom did not release it in the back. I had to reach in and saw one of the connections. The other came off easily. I cleaned the car with soap and water. Sanded the tops of the wheels and the metal rods (WD 40) holding them together. I didn't sand until it was smooth just until the larger scratches diminished in size. I started on 600 and went down to 2000 grit using water to help with uniformity. I used a hard plastic straw for a front axel and slit it front to back to get it in. I sealed the straw with heat and filled in 4 cracks and one hole (visible on the top next to the flame sticker). I used the krazy glue and baking soda trick I gleaned from youtube. To re-enforce the front end and to give me something to drive the screws into I used a blue Duplo Lego . I decided not to paint anything, wanting it to look its age and that it was played with heavily. There was not enough thickness in the plastic to bury the screws but they don't hinder movement. I'm happy with the end result. I know I can tweak it later. I have two holes to fill on top and missing steering wheel to find or fabricate.

I just picked this up on eBay for a good price $37 shipped. I had a copy years ago that I regret selling during the 1st FF movie release. It was actually pretty beat so this is a bit of an upgrade. One of my favorite FF's of all time. The book doesn't have any stains. Staples are attached. No off smells. I think I got a deal. Please weigh in with grades, THANKS!

I purchased a lot of nearly 100 Amazing Spider-man comic strips cut out of newspapers from the early to mid 1970's. All of them from Stan Lee and John Romita. I thought they would be cool to have but I like to know how to better display them. They were in an old 70's era magnetic photo album. I removed them and put 3-4 each in a regular comic bag and board. Any ideas on how to properly display them would be appreciated.

Need help with a personal piece of 70's plastic. I have a 1970's Gay Toys Blue Ford drag race car I would like to restore it or have it restored. Anyone on the boards do restoration on plastic toys? I looked on eBay did not find one but I know its 70's cause I'm the one who played with and damaged it. The damage really is confined to the wheels/axles. It could be missing pieces. The car measures 18" long x 8" wide. I don't mind the aged look. Any help is appreciated...

As promised, two of my submissions to CGC for the Eastman signing. I wish I could have had more signed. Just couldn't swing it financially. I will have to sell the #10 even though it looks way higher in grade to me. Grader notes said rusty staples yet they are super clean on the outside of the book. So happy to have them back

I called this morning to ask about 4 different submissions. I was told they are still opening mail from 3/15- 3/19.

I ended up calling customer service just right now. There was no light shed on my TMNT 3 signing. She commented that it was part of the batch Eastman still needed to sign. I joked that I won't see the book for a year and she said once its signed it should be a 6 week turnaround. I mentioned to her that I have three more modern submissions of 10 each and a 2 book Standard submission all in limbo and not marked received even though the 1st submission reached them on March 23. She said they are still opening mail from March 15-19.

I thought I would update everyone on my order. I sent in Donatello 1(1986), TMNT 3 (paid for press) and 10 for Mr. Eastman to sign at the end of December. It showed received on 12/30 (a week later) and did not change until 3 weeks ago where it finally went to SFG. Last Friday 4/9 it went to grading CC and today 2 books shipped. The TMNT 3 is still received with no change. My TMNT 10 is coming back SS 9.0 graders notes rusty staples and the Donatello 1 SS 9.8. I will post pictures when I get the two books Friday. Very surprised at the 9.0. I had it much higher, but it is what it is. Thrilled with my Donatello 9.8 though

1st minutemen? newly hot due to Loki on Disney

tough crowd. Out of the 100 or so Copper age books I have submitted over the years, I usually get 9.6's and 9.8's from CGC. I can remember only one 9.4. Even the Killing Joke which I read multiple times came back 1 9.6 and 2 9.8's. I can't really tell the difference between a 9.6 & 9.8.

I would like to send in a single book for the Shooter signing and thought it silly to send alone. Do I need to separate the submissions if I want 9 other modern books just to be graded? Thanks
