  1. You recommend it? I must admit the cover put me off for some reason - maybe a bit Spiderman-ish. Is the story ok?
  2. Cool Just sold pretty much my last lot of Bedlam #1 - a guy in Queensland took 10 so I'm pretty happy with the result. I guess I have about 15 left - those will be kept until/if the prices pick up. It was a big risk, but after 25 odd sales then the rest was cream, so job done with Bedlam. I look forward - actually no - I can't wait for the next issue - I love this book. Question for you Ryan, what do you think of: 1) The Bounce 2) Collider 3) Helheim 4) Sex 5) The Strangers 6) Lazarus Personally - 2,3 and 5 for me have promise - your thoughts? Cheers matey!
  3. I said the same thing and Andy said I was smoking crack. Maybe smoking crack is a little harsh! I thought it was pretty good myself - oh well, no offense meant if you took it that way
  4. Yes, I believe that is the little girl zombie he shoots in the head...? that's what one of the comments was on FB. Its the opening scens from Episode #1. Shes actually the basis for the motion activated Walking Dead Zombie moving 'creature' Jim and I were mentioning earlier - if they come out again this year - I am so getting one! Imagine getting some friends round and that comes charging out of the dark growling and hissing.....
  5. Good post Mike - plus people are keeping their cards VERY close to their chest. Even 48 hrs can be a $300 advantage. Not the time to be a new 'speculator' - it's gone back to how it should be, hard work and lots of effort. Anyone who says this is easy money, is full of it.
  6. Wait until issues #6 - #10. That will set the reader numbers, eliminate the early 9.8 outlier sales, and give a true indication of its potential. 50K readers - that's a lot of potential 9.8+ buyers.
  7. 700+ 9.8's (and counting) for a book that sells 15k a month. i'd hate to see what a glut looked like. I was referring to ebay, as you jolly well know.
  8. So it is the tv show afterall thats supporting the value pillars? How much of a dip will there be when the show ends i wonder??? Enormous. People will lose their homes, children will be pulled from University and housewives will start giving Oral pleasure for $23.99. Cats and Dogs may even mate. The anger over this books success is gobsmacking. If you have one, well done. If not - oh well. This book has bought more young people into comic book reading than any other for the last 15 years. Why do you have to make a drama out of it? Its a solid part of modern day pop-culture and should be embraced as such. Chill out mate.
  9. I don't know if he sells those, I only looked at his feedback once but Helheim, East of West, Bedlam, Revival etc etc were all selling for waay under other peoples prices. You are right - must be making a big loss when you add slabbing and shipping, especially if he is not getting bulk purchse/slabbing/shipping discounts.
  10. It is now - the last 9.8 blue sold for $18! Mind you, there is a boardie on here that pumps them out (all new books not just Bedlam) at 99c no reserve and is selling all books at cheaper than slabbing cost. I have no clue why someone would do that tbh
  11. Still a great read! But have you seen the market? Last sales for a Blue 9.8 $38 $35 $34 What on Earth is going on with Revival as far as the secondary market goes? Insanely low prices (I have no dog in this race - sold out all my #1's months ago) - any reason? There is no glut as far as I can see.
  12. Anyone who bought this book more than 18 months ago has still made $1500. 5 out of the last 7 sales were over $2000. The sky is still up there apparently.
  13. Dang bro... That's a sharp edge you got there. Yeah - tell me he's wrong though Ryan....... That's the math right there, add the other 'forgotten' variants and $50k for a bit of hype on here was easy scratch. With the help of a few friends here and there of course.
  14. "just alright" - are you short of medication Ryan?? Awesome issue. Best book out there, love me Bedlam day!
  15. I've been asking for a year! But yup, there is a reason. Find me one Rick.........
  16. The following, for me, makes Jimmy #134 the 1st Darkseid 1) He is named 2) He is seen 3) He speaks 4) There is a warning that Darkseid will play a big part in the Marvel (Jimmy) universe in the future. I can't see how that can't be the 1st appearance. It's not like he's in shadows or just an outline - he speaks and a future story is clearly defined.
  17. Thanks Rick - mirrors the exact problems I am finding. WFC #3 nothing decently priced (for grade) is available, and Tec #225 is now being closely guarded, especially in HG. Thankyou anyway. Andy
  18. I have come back to the oracle as I am still having trouble finding this book: Worlds Finest Comic #3 and: a 8.0+ Detective Comics #225 I will be in a position to purchase in about 10 days - time payments though if the grades are heading northwards! Any leads Rick? Thankyou Oracle!
  19. Hey, now! Let's keep it civil in here. I know this was a joke, but it wasn't funny man! Not funny at all... smh... Neal Adams' cover is very "meh," but nothing like Adlard's surfboard. That's in a league of its own! - a league of its own is right - what a pile of poo that cover was.....
  20. Surely its just a modern look at #4 when Rick and Glenn went after the Gunshop with Dead Zombie bits on them. Probably would have helped to draw a few body parts though admittedly. Think this is worse than Adlards 'surfboard' cover? - No way, now THAT sucked bigtime.
  21. HeHeHe...theres just so much WIN in this thread - go Todd!
  22. Dunno quite whats happening with this book on the secondary market either. Its still got most of its good points going for it, and as a previous noted, its readership is growing - but: I was hitting these out for $135 3 months ago ago (blue 9.8 #1), and the 1:10 variant, I sold a couple on here for $150ea. Now according to GPA, the last sale was only $47 and a blue 9.8 #1 hasn't broken $100 since April 9th. Indeed since then only 3 recorded sales have reached $80 with most selling in the $50 - $60 range. I know its Con season but we are on what, issue #10? Why the mass drop? The virus variant is actually selling for the same price, when its usually a lot,lot lower by now. Any thoughts? Readership is up....
  23. Ken - That's Officially good news! I saw that you're going to be at a local con in a couple weeks in Illinois. What are you going to be up to at the show? YES! I'll be at Mighty Con --- I'll be signing as a guest of the con. Would love to see you there. Here's a link to the show: http://mightycon.com/ As one of the earlier contributors to this thread, let me just say Ken,I am delighted that Todd is getting all it deserves, and then some. Also I have to say, you are pretty much up there with Kurtis "wino" Wiebe as the two coolest non-money-grabbing creators to grace these boards in the last 12 months. Here's to more success for you and Todd in the next 12 months mate - congrats!
  24. I'm going with 'slugger' - very American and will probably get a run-out at Friday nights Football. 'Sit down slugger, missed by a mile'. Added to beer and 50,000 Carlton fans, should make for a rather emboldened night of festivities. (You American fellows should just google Carlton and AFL) - otherwise this will make no sense. (thumbs u
  25. Bit gutless really this issue. I think Negan needs to start sticking the knife in and start taking a wild stab at things.
