  1. HG anything sells (eventually) to HG collectors, of course.
  2. Not what we are talking about here though.
  3. Never question the Juggernaut . . . Ok, I'll say it their "appearance" in Tec 850 is so weak, you literally have to paw through the book 3 or 4 times to find it, and then . . . disappointment. GSC is a great first issue of title, but I'm inclined to go with either of the other two, but certainly NOT Tec 850. (Disclaimer: already sold all Tec 850s that I had)
  4. Saw this on the list, and then found a copy in an old box of ephemera . . .
  5. I agree. I am convinced it is the split image cover that keeps this book and AT #1 at shockingly low prices. We are in the age of the cover image, and the split covers are big time fail. I was NEVER a fan of the split cover; the only thing worse was the onset of the barcode . . . One of my favorite cover tricks though, was when the cover figure grabbed or broke the logo - what was it X-Men 56 that first did that? (the Adams cover) Later, it led to be a staple of the BA. Isn't there a Batman or Tec cover with Blockbuster shattering the logo with a punch? Mid-silver either way. Great idea for a cross-era thread Post your broken logo covers! Run with it
  6. Still a worthy candidate - I just love it when the cover "proscenium" is broken.
  7. Agreed. Most of my pence copies are VF at best.
  8. We all used to hate coming across a pence variant, but I think the tide is turning. I would not be surprised to see these start being appreciated more by the completionist and variant collectors, particularly because they were eschewed for so long.

  10. From the 91 series? yep man! let the cat out of the bag! A significantly greater and real 1st Appearance (runs to garage . . .)
  11. No Amazing 50??? Hey Frankie ...sold the remaining above 20 to pay for my 2 and 3 in 9.0...such is life and collecting...the last of the ASM that were pried from my hands were about in the following order...75...21-30...31/32/33...39/40 and 50...I miss 'em but I'm happy with my decision...while the 28 and 50 were the most valuable, I miss the 31-33 most. I might add those back some day... Cheers. t A TRUE Ditko fan . . . Hey T!
  12. I was waiting for that . . . Over the head of most of the current posters.
  13. couldn't sell a VF/NM #17 here for $30 w/ a #18 thrown in for free People aren't really paying that much: http://www.ebay.com/sch/Bronze-Age-1970-83/12590/i.html?LH_Complete=1&_from=R40&LH_Sold=1&rmvSB=true&_sop=13&_nkw=defenders+17+-complete+-guides+-masterworks+-16+-lot+-foom+-art Well, not BSDs like you guys . . .
  14. Agreed - those two and Luke Cage 1 are my fave readers. +1 Absolutely love Special Marvel Edition 15 with the introduction of Shang-Chi. Even more so once Paul Gulacy started on the series with his poor man's version of the Steranko artwork and style. Yep,Gulacy rocked on this title.
  15. Agreed - those two and Luke Cage 1 are my fave readers.
  16. And how about Power Man Iron Fist 66? I think all of these books have upped their game of late.
  17. Kamandi 1 has been mentioned already, but let's also look at: Machine Man 1
