I called again today and actually got a very reasonable person on the phone this time. I told him the situation and he advised me to send all the appropriate information to this e-mail address: complaint-response@paypal.com By the way, the buyer closed the complaint against me about an hour ago. Just got word that he closed the complaint against me as well -- looks like he got the message! :applause:

has he had ANY completed purchases w/o this move? Anyone? Looks like hes made 4 purchases since joining the boards on 5/27. 5/27 sold two raw Green Lanterns to divad 6/1 sold Deadpool run to c-mack 6/14 bought IC#4 and DCUOnline (slabs) from Darrell F (paypal dispute) 6/14 bought DD#8 CGCed from Gary Strange 6/21 bought Daredevil lot from rsortor 6/24 bought Thor #337 CGCed from Ghost Town For the record: HOS = Yep. The GL #2 he sold to me had a big ol' cutout (undisclosed, but actually pictured in the interior scan posted - if you knew what you were looking at). He refunded my funds after about 30 days, only after some rather unpleasant discourse, and the threat of a chargeback. He also left our PM strings three separate times. The whole transaction left me feeling "soiled".

And they free up the bumps you are allowed for when you really need to! Aye, there's the rub!

It's frustrating to see, yes, but as many have pointed out before - just don't buy anything from those sellers. They'll eventually get the message

I agree. No money was sent. Qualitycomix should be more on the ball and send out invoice PMs but does not belong on the Probation list. I have had a few transactions with Brent and have absolutely no hesitation to purchase from him. I'm sure Brent has had a good many positive transactions with many board members - he's been here forever. But offering books and not following through with the sale once claimed is equally objectionable. It doesn't matter that no money has changed hands. The rules include such non-actions on the part of a seller. Otherwise, we 'd have a lot more buyers "blown off" by sellers with "better opportunities".

Under the new "simplified rules" here's all you need to do now:

Compassion abounds, but this is really irrelevant to the non-delivery and/or non-refund issue. Unfortunately, many of us have had serious life issues presented, most untimely. The purpose of the probation list is warn other buyers or sellers from proceeding in future transactions with an offending party. Not sure if this is still an issue with him, I don't know him at all, but it is worth noting.

By my count and read, this seller will be eligible for the Probation list on June 13. Sorry to hear about this.

I agree 100% Since the probie list was Divads brain child I nominate him. funny, since Divad sold some comics to someone on the list and couldn't care less. I didn't sell any books to you . . . did I? btw, I decline the nomination as sole mod - I'm not compulsive enough
