I've said this before... if you're going to involve Arch or Mods, just ask them to LOCK the words "PROBATION LIST" into the sig line of the offender. Arch has proven that this lock of a sig line can be done. Then the offending party can't post anywhere without the brand of shame being evident. Wouldn't be too hard either since there are only 50 or so HOS and Probation list members. I think that is an excellent idea. +1 That would be PERFECT! That was suggested a long time ago... I thought it would make a nice custom title....it didn't seem to fly with the Mods. It continues to amaze me that the Mods can consistantly pull a pic of a girl in a bathing suit or a slight political comment, but can't help enforce an issue that would actually protect board members. Not saying that Mods aren't helpful or needed... just a This has been discussed before. There is a huge difference between maintaining the contents of the boards (removing photos etc) and branding individual users with negative siglines and/or custom titles. They don't have the power to decide who goes on, just to update the list. Who goes on would still be decided the same way. Before you were here, Divad pretty much handled the entire shebang himself...and did an outstanding job. NO one took themselves on and off... I agree 100% Since the probie list was Divads brain child I nominate him. I have long felt the list itself should be locked in this way. I second Divad's nomination but think we need at least one other person (ideally two others) to insure realtime coverage, especially for things like hectic work days, being sick, going on vacation etc. It may also be good to have the other people in different time zones, maybe one on the East Coast and one in one of those odd European places. . This is a good idea, but as my participation has been limited of late, I like POV's idea of having 4 or 5 authorized members. I'm fine with the three posters here and perhaps bosco as well? I think the problem with this is something I referenced earlier. By agreeing to let a PL person buy from you the deal hoses the boardie with the transaction that was never completed. Kind of an aiding and abetting thing in my mind. For example...I on $100 worth of stuff from Rupp. I fail to pay, get thrown on the PL and reside there for a few months. After the hubbub dies down, I quietly attempt to buy things by PM from folks. I think a seller that takes the funds knowing I am on the list is essentially taking funds that should rightfully go to the original seller (Rupp) that I failed to complete the transaction with. I had the ability to correct matters, but by selling to me while I am on the PL we allow the original issue to carry over Biatch-azz Snake betta have my money ! Here's a suggestion... Since Arch/Mods pretty much have the power to put quotes up themselves (as the recent large font fiasco proved in RMA's post... ...well why can't when a boardie goes on either list, the Arch can't just put a big ole "HOS" or "PL" next to the boardies name or in a large font in their sig line. That way, each and every time that boardie posts, his HOS or PL designation is easily seen. When they make right, the Arch just has to remove the 'brand" just like we would remove them from the HOS or PL list. Seems easy to me A la Hester Prynne?

The probation list is for former members only. An off board transaction can be noted, as long as their members of this forum. Fixed that for you!

I have a similar issue with him. Bought a bunch of stuff 6 weeks ago, never arrived. He has not been answering PMs... My experience with DIMEBAG_D is the same Sent payment 11-1 no books as of the 16th He responded to a pm that they would go out tomorrow (the 17th) No response to email or PM and I have opened a paypal dispute He has also not responded to that complaint so I wait on paypal I hope it's not a case where something is wrong. Like I said, he seems like a nice person. We'll give him a chance to respond. However if its not the case, it could merit more than just the PL given the multiple offenses. I got my refund through paypal, but not a word from Dimebag_D. PM's look to have been about a week and a half ago. No comments were ever posted here or in the PP dispute. I'm going to place him on the PL. Hopefully everyone esle was able to get their money back through paypal Uh, you bought comics from a guy who calls himself "dimebag_d" and your surprised he took the money and ran??? Seriously, though, I hope nothing's wrong with him. He's been hangin' around for a while.

Which is EXACTLY what the discussion part of the probation area is for...for problems to be given a forum for debate and revelation. Given the amount of problems brought up, discussed and resolved since October without anyone being added to the list, it's anything but it's a perfect example of the system working. Agreed, seems to work remarkably well. A half dozen posts above is an example of a boardie who failed to ship books and has gone through the probation ringer. As if that's enough . . . I disagree.

FACT: 65 pages of discussion since the last person was added to the Probation List on 10/14/11 . . .
