Sellers prerogative really. This thread serves as a warning to sellers and buyers of potential problem children. What they do with that information is up to them. Then they are on Probation from what? Nothing. Rename the thread "the bad buyer warning thread" It means nothing to be put on this list! Side note: Thanks to CD4ever for going light on that Millie the Model for me on Ebay…you didn’t really miss anything $18. So I came to this thread to say that I finally got my books from Daken after I put him in this thread and filed a Paypal dispute, but it looks like he's already been removed. I guess this is part of the problem with a list like this. Anyway, he's cleared my situation. Uh, quit yer whinin'

Tim, A great idea, and I agree with your sentiments, as there are tendencies in behavior that are often predictable. I think it might be a bit difficult to distinguish gray (from black and white). I know I have my own "Don't ever sell to these guys" list which is compiled, in part, from this thread. David p.s. That, and I don't want to play god here . . . And maybe "a little non-bolded list under the main list" with people that might be going on the big list soon. No, I don`t think anyone should go on the list until they go on the list, if you know what I mean. However, once they`re on the list, I don`t think they should get a complete "get out of jail card" just because they finally made good on the deals that got them on the list in the first place. So a true 30-day "probation" then with Probation officers, house arrests, and ankle bracelets! I love it!

Yup, I stated a similar sentiment some time ago. The 30 days was arbitrary, but it is effective. The point here is not to "hang 'em high" but to give both buyers and sellers the benefit of the doubt. As we have seen, sometimes "life's little emergencies" and sometimes very big ones get in the way of a transaction being completed. You are always free to out someone as soon as you feel a deal has gone south, and communication has proven futile - that's up to you. The "official update" format of the probation list should, however, remain at 30 days. Updates should be made at least every two weeks and brought to the end of the thread, so the community may stay informed. Please try to limit the trash talk, as it gets difficult to wade through and provide accurate updates.
