  1. Oh, and I almost forgot my personal favorite . . . Please do not post any comments in this thread that do not relate to the featured books or the collection. This is a lot of work for me with little financial return when it really comes down to it. I do so as courtesy to my fellow forumites. Any posts that violate this rule will be reported to the moderator.
  2. Kudos to CycleGirl and GACollectibles for some nice books, swift turnaround, and great packing. cheers mates! -d
  3. How's everyone enjoying the new forum-only guidelines? We've got t-shirts, 100-pagers on demand, thumbnail moderns up-the-wazoo, web-site crossovers, want-list solicitations, dealers and newbies galore, and just about every type of huckster in the book . . . I hate to say it, but . . . I TOLD YOU SO!
  4. Kudos to Nik M. for a couple of HTD's I (kinda) needed, and to cd4ever for a solid copy of Conan #1 - thanks guys, always a pleasure
  5. Resolve firmly, like a man, to do what comes to hand with correct and natural dignity, and with humanity, independence, and justice. Allow your mind freedom from all other considerations.
  6. Are you his mother? There are no rules here, only guidelines. You say what you say, and think what you think, I don't really care for your opinion. Oh, ouch. Why don't you give it a rest already with your attitude. If you have a complaint about how someone created a thread, take it up with Arch. We really don't want to hear your continual whining. You are the only whiner here, my point is a valid one. I respect Donut enough not to put it in his thread. You, on the other hand. have no business with me - Mr. Hollywood Hills collection Obviously you can dish it out but not take it. I can comment at anytime on something you write that I disagree with, nor do I really care what your opinion is of me. Might as well continue with your whippy little comebacks that have no substantive value. Feel free to add as many of the little dancing faces as you wish to try and emphasize your point to yourself. I fail to see anything of substantive value in any of your posts.
  7. Eaaaasssssy big fella. Donut is playing by the rules. Yep . . . sure is . . . right Why not 36 hours? 24? 12? 30 minutes? The proof is in the pudding. So time limits aren't allowed? (not a rhetorical question, I honestly don't know) Yes, time limits are allowed, but . . . get my point? I'm trying to follow the rules : My question to Arch: His response (emphasis added) There's a certain timeframe after which you can't edit a post. That's what the 48 hours is - the time in which I can go back into the post and say "the book is now on eBay". , I believe it is 48 hours, but I'm not sure. It is definitely not longer than a couple of days. I can make the time frame six weeks - or forever, I don't care - if people don't mind having old already sold books in threads. I understand Dan. There is no need to say the book is available on eBay after X number of days. That's advertising - we all know it's for sale. When it's available on ebay, why not post it in the other thread? For this forum all that needs to be said is that the book is available exclusively to board members say, for the next week, or something like that.

  10. btw, your sig line violates every guideline that has even been suggested, nevermind adopted. Why not just wear sandwich board?

  13. Books will come off here in 48 hours and go onto eBay. Wow! I better pull the trigger! Now! Wotta-deal! I told you so . . .
  14. Nothing wrong with that . . . from your side of the equation
  15. It's all very silly that one would be that willing to compete in a frenzy like this
  16. Jeffb with a Marvel?!? What will the EC Police think?
  17. Your "holier than thou", after the fact rhetoric is quite transparent. You forget that the rules were in place. Then they were broken. The rules have been amended. This doesn't change the transgressions which occured before the rule change . . . just your feather-puffing. Sigh. I "violated" the rules once in the three years I have been on these boards. Bring on the gallows! How about dealing with the present now and not the past. You hate dealers. You want all your competition out of the way. We all know it. Whatever. Actually, I wasn't refering to your thread at all, just your present stance on the subject. My initial concerns about this whole issue was over Brent's dumping thread. Then all hell broke loose. I don't hate dealers. I've never said that. I don't view dealers as "competition". I don't know where you get your ideas from.
