PGM Superman and Spiderman Treasury Edition

Just found this after being stored for years somewhere in my collection.

Actually unread so in decent condition in that respect but I would say  discoloured/tan pages being the main distraction.

ps....having trouble now getting a new clean polly bag and backing board for just ONE of these 

Some corner damage and page colour not great but all opinions welcome 

Yes that is a slight tear and a strange one. I've just checked and the tear doesn't fully show all the way through but its definitely there.

I tend to struggle with these lower/mid grade square bounds with staples, in serious need of a clean.

This has me stumped!. there is a crease/fold ? running through  pages 8 to 32. It is certainly visible but it does not feel as if there is any indentation or paper fold etc

Comic in great unread condition otherwise.

Besides the obvious wear/tear/dirt this comic has had 3 extra staples added to just above the top staple, God only knows why.

It looks like the original top staple is still in place? but hard to see .

I am interested to hear your opinions especially on how much the extra staples lower the grade.

This looks like a very nice copy. I'd be tempted to call it 8.0/8.5 except for the rust you report (which I have a hard time seeing). With staple discoloration and slight migration, you're capped out at 7.0/7.5. Let's say 7.5.

Thanks for your reply. The rust I do not think is major but it unfortunately is there I'm said to say

I struggle with grade on this one especially with off colour pages and slight rust on staples

Thanks for the replies and comments guys.....I've just realised I  missed the 1 from the title as obviously photos are of DS15 and not DS5 

Lots of wear and tear as can be seen but staples are at least clean, firm and rust free.

Thank you both for your replies. I would be more than happy to get the above grades, although I thought the corner wear would effect the grade more.

Hi all I have just "upgraded???" this issue as my original was low grade.

I purchased this at a reasonable price and it was sold as unread and it is definitely better than my original.

I am very interested in all comments.

I purchased this at a reasonable price and it was sold as unread but I totally missed (duh!) the damage on the right hand side. 

That will teach me to look more closely at the photo.
