  1. I still wanna know why this isn't stickied
  2. I've heard it wasn't worth it. What I have heard is that the Last of Us DLC, Left Behind was worth it. But I couldn't get myself to pay $15, but it was a hard decision for me
  3. Does not look like the original auction actually completed. Winning bidder had triple digit feedback, but its been relisted just today and already back up to $65K+ Relist This amazing Gold cart just popped up in better condition and broke $100K with still nearly 6 days left. Gold cart 6 figures auction It's funny cause the guy had to decrease the buy it now to 65k because of the Gold cart that popped up. Which may also be the reason why the original one wasn't paid for
  4. She won't be nearly as big. Batman is enormous.
  5. And 3 days later... A rarer game lands on eBay
  6. Looks good COI. And you're tempting me man
  7. This will definitely happen. Everyone starts off thinking they just want a few... That said, I'm happy with what I have and have gotten past the need to be a completist. I think the key is to buy slowly and accept the fact that you can't get everything, so just hold out for the very best. Sounds funny coming from the guy expecting three SS pieces in a week, but after this little Christmas in January, I don't expect the next piece to arrive until May. True. I only pre-ordered the Spidey from the Campbell line at first, then Black Cat gets announced, then I see MJ, then boom, I now have Gwen on pre-order, MJ should arrive in a week, and I WILL pre-order black cat. And there's also this guy that I can only hope that we'll see more of at SDCC
  8. Currently bid up to $99,202 with 4 hours to go. A better condition one sold for $11,000. That spike going up to 6 figures is amazing. I wanna know if that guy who wrote "Mario" on the game realizes how much money he could've had
  9. That's the Exclusive which is unfortunately sold out. But the only difference is that it comes with the extra head with only half the mask on. Glad I pre-ordered the EX. So it'd be this one for the regular
  10. Your room looks like one of my LCS's. He's not much of a neat freak either. There's literally boxes everywhere

  13. You do realize that even if it was nearly-free, they don't *want* to include BC, right? Sony even admitted that when the took off BC from the PS3, stating they wanted PS3 owners "to be buying PS3 games and not playing their old PS2 games". No qualms about it, buy, buy, buy!! Existing PS3 and Xbox 360 games represent no profit to Sony and Microsoft, and it has nothing to do with the expense of the system (Sony was rumored to release multiple system configurations (one BC and one not) or a PS3 dongle, but quashed the idea because it would have impacted PS4 game sales) and everything to do with getting people to buy a pile of those horrible release titles to play on their shiny new toys. Or do you really not understand how the console upgrade cycle works? Why do you think the DS3 and Xbox 360 controllers don't work with the new consoles? Why don't headphones work? remote controls? Especially on the PS4, which uses BT. Why do Sony and Microsoft sue companies who design dongles that allowed PS2 controllers to work on the PS3 or Xbox wit 360? Cha-Ching! Neither company makes anything on the console hardware, it's software licensing and residual dollars that drive the business, so losing BC makes perfect economic sense for a greedy corporation. Not that I blame them, but it saddens me that consumers are falling for their BS and actually supporting their corporate agenda. You can use any headphones for the DS4. Only for hearing audio though. And speaking of controllers, why the heck does the Xbox One controller still require batteries? Stupid!
  14. Which games? Infamous: Second Son (coming in March), The Witcher 3, and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Played and loved all the predecessors to these titles Also excited to see how DriveClub will turn out to be and hopefully The Order:1886 comes out as well. And for games on both consoles, I'm really excited for Watch Dogs and Destiny
  15. No, there will never be backwards compatibility with PS3 or PS2 games, and what you're referring to is the online server-based gaming Gaikai system that Sony bought. This is a cloud-based system where access is granted on a monthly subscription basis to stream a *very limited* number of "the most popular" classic titles. That's not backwards compatibility, and is very similar to retro browser-based games that run off a central server. After reading what I wrote, I think I may have worded that incorrectly. But you're right. It's not backwards compatibility but only a solution for the backwards compatibility problem. No it isn't, it's just Sony's way to make money by double-dipping into the wallets of nostalgic gamers. It's no different than their PS2 Classics (what % of PS2 games are available?) line on PSN, other than it being cloud-based. First off, Sony has stated that there will only be a limited number of games available, with only a few at launch, so lots of PS3 and PS2 games will never be available (like all the superhero ones and other licenses) and the PSN/indie/IOS-level stuff will far outnumber the retail disc games. Secondly, you will have to pay a monthly subscription for this, and Sony will double-dip and certainly not allow disc-game owners to play for free. Now, this might be worth it for some people (Sony retail games will probably be there - GoW, Infamous, LBP, etc.), depending on the launch library of *other* game publishers, but it's certainly not a solution to the current BC woes, and only Sony would try to spin it like that. Is it the answer to BC? No. Is it a solution? Yes. You're absolutely right that there is going to be a limited number of games, as of now. You have to remember that there is still a lot of unanswered questions regarding this service. Some people think PS Now is the future of gaming. Play it on Sony TVs, your PS4, Vita, and in the future, other TVs, tablets, phones. And with all the talk about clutter that is just going on in this thread, it sounds like you guys would like the service. You don't need a console, just play games from the cloud on your TV with your controller. Of course the PS4 isn't going to be backwards compatible. You can't build a PS3 in your PS4, but the service they're providing allows you to play those games on your PS4, but if you don't want to play on your PS4, then play on your TV, whenever that happens. That fixes your BC problem. It doesn't fix it completely, but I believe it's a step in the right direction. It's a solution, not the answer.

  17. I think Sony may have shot themselves in the foot with their "strategy" for the PS4. By selling-out the initial shipments, then not really re-stocking for the pre- and post- Christmas buying sprees, they cost themselves a LOT of money. People laugh saying how easy it was to find the XB-ONE, but guess what that really meant. That there were units that could sell, and actually make money for Microsoft. A lot of the retailers around here where I've looked, have had them in stock, but most of them have said they've had them in stock because Microsoft had them in the pipeline, all-ready to ship out as demand warranted. I've seen store shelves be full in the morning, empty by that night, then full again the next morning. That's called turning over your freight, and actually making money. Sony on the other hand, has been mostly cobwebs on store shelves as most of the stores haven't been able to get any into stock. Now who do you think did better pre- and post- Christmas sales? The company who had product to put on the shelves, or the company whose shelf space needs to be dusted every few days. And obviously, the PS 4 wasn't as big as people were hoping for. When scalpers couldn't get hundreds over retail on e-bay before Christmas, it just showed that it wasn't as "must have" as the PS3 was before that Christmas release. As time goes on and unless Sony gets their product out there and in force, they're going to fall behind just because if parents are going to buy their kids a game system, if there is only one to choose from, that's the one they'll buy. Why any game company would schedule a system launch, right before the holidays, then intentionally not have more than enough units to ship to retail before Christmas is an epic fail on their part. I don't think that's the case at all. My thought is that there was just more of a supply for people to not have to overpay. I mean, the One isn't getting hundreds over retail on eBay either, like the 360 did. The One nearly doubled it's sales in the span of about 6 weeks compared to the 360. And the PS4 sold 2.5 million more consoles than the PS3 in 2 less weeks. Yes, the PS4 was sold out most of the holiday season and I believe that that is where Microsoft captilized on sales. And with both consoles releasing almost around the same time, parents had no trouble getting the One over the PS4, as they were both new and probably couldn't see that much of a difference between them other than the price tag. Sony said that they'd have enough for customers during the holiday season, but apparently they were wrong. Seemed like the demand was more than they had anticipated. The One obviously had enough, but to put it in terms of numbers, the One sold 3 million units in 5.5 weeks, and the PS4 sold 4.2 million in 6 weeks. So it does seem like Sony put out a lot of units, probably just as much as MS, but the demand was just too high. But as time goes on, demand will finally slow down, which gives both companies time to manufacture their systems, just in time for the next holiday season. And I don't think Sony will fall behind at all. If we are talking about long term, the PS3 managed to match up to the 360 sales at 80 million even after releasing a full year later, which to me only calls for PS4 to do even better or just as well. But if we're talking about sales in the coming months, with 4.2 million already sold in the first 6 weeks, the PS4 has yet to release in it's territory, Japan.
  18. I don't think there's any reason to purchase any new console YET. Come March, maybe it'd be a good time. Good games coming for both the One and PS4. The only game that truly spoke next gen to me was Killzone Shadow Fall
