  1. why wouldn't you look at GPA listings for 9.8's- at least there's a measure of uniformity in those books. there seems to be two outliers in both directions this year but the other sales seemed to fall between $450 and $600 pretty consistently.

  2. The high dude! In order for the ship to be sinking there needs to be a fall in prices. What was the peak for a raw #1? Barely over 300 so one auction and one BIN does not a trend make.

Peak for raw 1 was slightly over 400. so 400-230=170 and id say thats a wee bit of a drop?

And actually even with your example, which appears to be a one time deal, it was not slightly over $400. ;)

I understand after stating the ship is sinking you want to make your case but you are actually proving it is not sinking by stretching the few examples.

The average has fluctuated between $250 and $300 for some time now.

    411.35 = slightly over 400... doh!

  3. I don't remember that either. I was watching ebay for 4 weeks hourly looking for a chew #1 that I wanted and never saw a raw copy sell for that much.

if your just looking for 4 weeks thats not in any way a long enough period of time sorry, ive been watching for more like 4 months. I might not know much about a bunch of comics, but On CHEW i know alot.

Congrats? A whole 4 months you say?

You found one listing which is an anomaly to prove your point of a downward trend? It's a BIN and auctions in the same week sold for $265.

You're not making a case with these listings. :gossip:

hehe i simply said chew sold for slightly over 400 and it did it was at that tim between 350-400 and now its below 300 240+ so it doesnt take a monkey to see that

  6. lucky? you could easily score a chew nm number 1 for under 300 now

It barely broke $300 for a raw. Hardly a sinking ship. It's ok. We understand you want to buy them as cheap as possible. Everybody does. :)

    Barely broke 300?

I could give you links to at least 3 that sold well under 300, im talking like 240, 250.

A full set 1-27 BARLEY sold over 300 is a better statement.

  7.

Yes, because raw books with tiny scans and no grade from zero feedback sellers always achieve top dollar on ebay.

    doh!
