  1. e.s.

I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for the comics you signed and sent out and thank you for the awesome personalized poster you sent out to one of the bordies.

I know I'm new to these boards so my words probably don't carry much clout but I just wanted to say that.

I think it's awesome you find time to come on here and talk with us. Your actions have made me respect image more as a company and the type of people they employ.

We don't have a lot of extra cash for comics each month but what we do have, me and the family have been spending most of it on image books! You guys really see doing an amazing job!

And that is how you make a post. Bravo, D. :acclaim:

+1 nice to see something positive!

    Nice guy Welcome to boards!

  2. I see the points but all the LCS in my area have been getting requests for ToT, Revival, Saga, and Manhattan Projects, they underordered each by countless copies, I believe that thousands of comic stores have the same issue and really woulnt want to miss the boat on the next image #1. If not majority of the store owners, most of them who are ahead of the curve will be doing this.

EoW will be under-ordered too. And there will be a 2nd printing and possibly 3rd, 4th... who knows?

Plenty of people who know it's coming out and want it won't pre-order and will come to the internet all bummed out saying "my lcs didn't have any left", and comic shops themselves still won't have learnt, and will sell out in 3 hours. And then there are all the lazy folk who don't even know about its existence until #5 comes out. It's pretty much guaranteed.

Saga was one of the most anticipated books in the history of forever. How on earth did that book need a bajillion printings? Why weren't the orders high enough to begin with? What did shops do - just order an extra 2 copies or what? Blows my mind.

    Good points about saga

  3. I only need one more issue to finish out my 1st print run up to current (minus #1, got a couple larrys sketch covers to satisfy that for now) . and of course its not an expensive issue at all have just been holding out to find one locally and it keeps eluding me ;x

Which one I may have what your looking for

  4. Bottom line is the mistake was made on YOUR server and RYAN had to pay for it. If I was running a business and I was at fault for a mistake id make sure to mend it.

As Ryan mentioned, "Sometimes when you win, you lose." You may have had your way for this sale, however now quite a few people who once were customers with you will not likely return because of this entire incident.

Perhaps it may have been wiser to fix a mistake on your end and not get as large of a profit as you had wished, but keep loyal paying customers who frequently shop on your site.

Now it seems you have exchanged them for a quick buck on a single sale.

  5. All these family photos have finally motivated me to post one of my own. Unfortunately we couldn't get the whole gang together, as many brothers and sisters are off at CGC, but here is what I could gather up from the books that have yet to be sorted/graded/etc. I could take similar pics for 3-9, but...you get the idea. ;-)

    SAH! GAH!

I think its safe to say the print run on saga # 1 means nothing when you have this type of thing going on
