  1. What are the odds? Low, I have only been back in "the market" for 2 months or so.
  2. Bizzaro Mom, is that you? I have been looking for you for years. Please come home. Old Yeller (my cat peed comic ) and I miss you sooooo much! Don't let them get to ya! It's Cyber-Space. Just have some fun! (thumbs u
  3. It's easier to get in touch with me and donate to the Hero Initiative and help support the people who have very little food, no where to live, medical bills they can't pay, etc. This is not to say that other charities are not deserving, but I feel the H.I. is a very legitmate cause. That is why myself and many people (Low & high profile) in our hobby give much time, money, and physical donations to the H.I.; we believe in giving back to those that helped us get enjoyment and, in many cases, employment or money making opportunities, from their hard work when they were paid close to nothing and without medical benefits. Hey, I gotta promote what I beleive in. Oh, and you can see how legit we are at www.heroinitiative.org

  6. Thanks to Kris! (thumbs u He got me a Jim Warren SS Creepy (Frazetta cvr) and a Mckean SS Dreaming #1 this weekend!
  7. I like both, but it depends on the piece and sometimes the inker. I have a kirby pencil only cover and like it better than the Kirby inked cover I had before it. I think it is just up to your personal tastes (thumbs u
  8. Fixed it for you, "boss" Still works for me "boss" (thumbs u
  9. "Can someone please post the "follow these or die" guidelines for me?" 1: Send Borock all your money, women, comics, OA, movie posters, lobby cards, old comic book toys, gold bars, stocks, oil field deeds, and steaks. I don't feel a need to have any other rules, but if the company or mods want to add some, I am sure they will
  10. Because the boards are more than a disparate group of comic book collectors. For the regulars, it's a group of friends, and those friends have interests beyond comics. When my son was born last May, I sure as heck wasn't going to post about it to a bunch of strangers in the water cooler, but I knew that my friends in Comics General would want to know. If there are horrendous fires in California, it's good to know that our fellow board members are okay, and if they're not, that they could use our help. Rail all you want against OT threads, but they're often the most popular threads in Comics General. (thumbs u
  11. "Half in jest and half serious." Damn, I was hoping for 65/35
  12. But, if it states OT in the title and it is done ONLY in CG and ONLY sometimes, you can just pass them by and not click on them, correct? Or is it like a car crash on the side of the highway slowing traffic down only because people must slow down to see what has happened?
  13. Mirrors my first experience Commodore 64 with a 300 baud plug-modem...took ages and nobody minded and I was paying per minute on the phone. Had to take a student job just to pay the $300 monthly phone bills and I was 16 at the time. You probably downloaded some games my group cracked or some demos I wrote back in 1983-1987 Call packs. Stay on topic!!!
  14. "Ahhh - to be young and innocent again." You were young? You were innocent? Man, are you a bad liar
  15. I get too much a kick out of these kind of threads to ever kick you folks off Besides, I like you all too much to see you go BTW......I personally do not mind OT threads if they are few and far between in CG ONLY. I like talking music and movies with fellow COMIC collectors because I care what they think. I do not care what sports or coin fans think. I love the charity threads and Secrect Santa/Chanukh Harrry/Athiest Andy/Budda Barry/etc. threads. And I really love the OT threads when one of is in trouble where we help out or where one of us needs advice as long as they do not turn into trash someone or something threads. We get to know each other and become more of a community. The fact that I know so much about many of you, is the reason some of us have become friends and the reason I love this community so very much. That said, the mods seem to leave it alone as long as you keep it to a minimum and use OT to begin you thread. If the title states OT, anyone who wants can just simply avoid it. At the end of the day, we have always been a bit flexible on these boards, and I think the mods do a great job that they work very hard at! They also do not get the credit they deserve The rules are the rules, but even I have broken them once in a blue moon. That's my (worthless ) And, hey, let's be careful out there!
  16. I am looking for page 1 splash from the 5th(?) punisher series issue # 1 "Welcome Back Frank" by Steve Dillion. He's holding a mob guy in the air with one hand and a gun in his other. All the other guys in the room are dead on the floor and frank says; "...and get a hair cut!" Perfect page for me and one of my favorite artists!
  17. That's because they are restored......... There you go, raining on everyone's parade with that restoration stuff again. What are you, some kinda expert or somethin'? SPEAKING OF RAINING ON EVERYONE'S PARADE........... I will no longer be going to Baltmore, my grandmother (93) just went into the hospital and my daughter and I are heading out early tomorrow morning to be with her.
  18. Steve, I'm curious, does it have the Mile High code written on the cover ? It has "Church" written on the cover. Very small. Beautiful book
